MJM209 ~ Boo to You!

Just dropping in for a quick post today...the grocery store awaits! I have an easy peasy card for the Mojo Monday challenge. Here's the sketch...

And here's my card...

I have this problem of thinking I have to follow a sketch exactly!!! You know a bow for a bow, a big scalloped circle for a...well you get the picture! But this time I threw caution to the wind! I added this bunch of fluttery creepy bats (cloud9 designs) in place of the bow and my big ol spider web button for the circle portion of the sketch. All of the paper is from MME: Mischievous and the alphabet letters are from Limited Edition. That's about it, thanks for stopping by...gotta run! ~ Lisa

I love your "caution to the wind"!!! This card is sensational. I used to do MOJO Monday challenges ... and stopped because I just couldn't compete with the professional and stunning designs that were entered. So ... now I just look and enjoy! :) Hugs xxaxx

Oh how cute! Love the bats "ribbon"! and the spider web with spider is too cute! I don't usually make Halloween cards but there's so much cute stuff out there I might have to take the plunge this year.

Lisa, I like the flutteriness of this card, between the bats themselves and that patterned paper with the banners hanging. Great job on the sketch! And thanks for saying some prayers for me. :)

This is such a fluttery card, with the bats (in place of a ribbon - clever!) and then the patterned paper with banners. Great work on that Mojo sketch!

Absolutely adorable, Lisa! Those bats are fabulous and the perfect substitute for a bow ... how clever of you! Another wonderful creation!

(Thank you for the kind comment and your support on the Polka Dot Door blog!)

Oh my gosh, I think that might be MY problem, too! Thinking I have to do everything exactly the same as the sketch and not being able to just let go and exercise my artistic 'liberties.' LOL!

Your card is sooooo cute - what a great Halloween card! The bats are the perfect touch, and I love that spider & web. Great card!

(Hope you had a good time at the grocery store, too.) ;-)

I LOVE the bat banner in place of the bow! I hardly ever use ribbon so I'm always trying to come up with other ideas for bows and ribbon on sketches - this rocks!
