With Thanksgiving drawing near I decided to create a festive banner inspired by all of the pretty pies on the long harvest table. Wouldn't you like to be sitting at that table with a fork in both hands...HA!!! Thanksgiving is our holiday; we've hosted dinner at our house for more years than I can remember. It represents family to me; I am forever grateful for them.
The base of my banner represents the harvest table, I scored lines to mimic the planks. Next I added papers from Webster's Pages, My Mind's Eye and tags from K & Company. I used bottle caps as pie tins filled with polka dot and striped papers as berries and pie patterns.
I drew and cut my pitcher from cardstock adding ink and chalk to give it the pewter look then filled it with bits of silk & metal herbs.
Tim Holtz typewriter keys spelling out family, a few more herbs and teeny tiny metal leaves pull my banner together!

beautiful banner..
Love the banner, what fun to use all those great papers.
What a great idea!
Oh Lisa, there you go again...making me swoon over one of your projects. This is piled high with shabby goodness and I adore it! The combination of this and that ... seemingly thrown together in a vintage manner but yet each embellishment carefully placed with love. The mustard across the top keeps each pennant in the "family" while their individual gifts shine. Thanks for sharing your talents!
Very beautiful! I love the patterns and colors you used in this banner. Great job!

Lisa, your banner is just spectacular! I am seriously amazed at all the beautiful, coordinating details you put into this. The colors are fantastic, and every little element is perfectly placed and obviously well thought out - it looks like all these things were just meant to be together, you've done such a wonderful job.
