PTI MIM #48 ~ Border Die Backgrounds!

Hi friends! I'm back today with a card for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday technique.Dawn McVey gave us a fun video on using border dies to create a background. Here's my take on it.

What do you think...fun huh and pretty easy! Not a complete background but I think it works.
I die cut several strips of MME Lost and Found: blush paper using my PTI simple circles border die. I had a couple of PTI simply sunflowers from last weeks chipboard elements that I had stamped; so I added them to the card as well. The PTI autumn rose felt and ink are the perfect color to go with this paper collection. So I used the felt to die cut a Love Lives Here butterfly and a portion of the heart border to accent the card. This fun sentiment is from the flower fusions #10 set.

***An update on my hubs...saw the doctor this week and the bone graft in his neck has fused 1oo  percent ~ yay!!! A few more weeks off for PT but all is well! Thanks again for all of the concern and prayers; we both appreciated it so much!

Hugs to all ~Lisa

What a wonderful combination of papers you have here! They combine for this monotone color scheme so well. Great news about the hubs--give him our best wishes as well!

I LOVE this and I generally am not a user of multiple dsp's! The layout makes it so retro, but the colors are so today...I am going to have to go looking for the papers and give this a try!

Soooo fabulous!!! I'm thinking of joining in with MIM, but I need to buy more than just PTI paper... ;) I only have 2 designer paper paper pads that I got at a garage sale. Do you have any suggestions on what I should purchase?! :)
