DD #3 ~ Truly Amazing!

It's Saturday and that means another colour challenge at Dynamic Duos! This is week #3 ~black tie with a dessert option.  We've given you Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and your dessert option is dry embossing.

My mom has a collection of teapots and I've been searching for the perfect teapot stamp for a few years...I'm picky I suppose!  I popped into Hobby Lobby for some goofy little thing and hurried over to the stamp aisle before leaving. And there it was sitting on the shelf as sweet as can be, my idea of the perfect teapot stamp for my mom! A blissful moment indeed.

I just love the shape if it! I also like the idea of not coloring separate parts unless I choose to. It's from a company called American Art Stamp. I started with a white card base then layered on a black swiss dot embossed paper and a Spellbinders labels 10 cut from a yellow embossed paper. I added 1/2 a doily, my gingham ribbon and then my smaller stamped labels 10. This sentiment is one of those $1.99 clear stamps from Archivers former "hot spot". A few Martha Stewart punched butterflies fluttering about and some buttons from my stash just felt like mom to me. I stamped the corners (Inkadinkado) at the last second for some color balance.

Don't forget to visit my fellow Dynamos ~ you can find them on my side bar or on the Dynamic Duos blog. I hope you'll take a moment to play along this week. Have a splendid  weekend my friends and thanks for stopping by! ~Lisa
