CCC #17 & CQC #161 ~ Sugar and Spice!

Hi there! I hope all are doing well in the aftermath of storm Sandy. I've heard from a few of my blogging friends on the East Coast and am glad to hear they are safe and sound. Our continued prayers for all. We are patching and painting our master bath. My dad laughed when I told him it was a shade of white! I'm the fetch and carry girl in the beginning stages so I managed to squeezed in a bit of time last night to make a card. This one is for my friends over at CASology and my other friends over at The ColourQ.

When I saw the cue word sugar I knew this was the image I would use and this was the saying that would go perfectly with it! I used the font Pristina on my computer to create the sentiment. Next I stamped this precious little girl from Past Time Stamps than colored her and gave her a kiss of glitter. A scrappling of my PTI heart border die cut from felt and a panel of sweet saffron gingham from Lily Bee Design. I brought in a wee bit of tangerine with my sparkly gems.

Thanks for taking a peek into my little corner of the world (smells like paint at the moment!). We have a second round in our trio of challenges at The Creative Paper Trade. Hearts are the theme this time and designer Geri has a sweet card today!

But remember you can combine any or all of the challenges in our inspiration photo then link your card for a chance to win two stamp sets of your choice from our sponsor Paper Sweeties! Have a good day friends ~Lisa

Oh my gosh Lisa I love this little girl with her glitter collar and trim. Oh she is adorable and so is your card, with the gorgeous trim and bit of stitched hearts. Love the soft yellow too. When I help my husband he calls me his gopher! Go for this and go get that.
Happy Halloween.

This is adorable, Lisa! I love the splash of gingham in your design. It looks so cozy and old-fashioned, just like that sweet image.

Had to laugh at your "fetch and carry girl" description! We always called that position "tool nurse" in my family--like the OR nurses that hand things to the surgeons when they bark things like "scalpel" or "clamp," etc. I like your description better!!!

I hope the painting is going well!
