PDCC #183 ~ Thanks!

Happy happy Friday! Happy Memorial Day weekend for those of you in the states! The official kick off to summer. Will someone call Mother Nature and cue her in on this please...it's 45 degrees today!!! I know I've been talking a lot about this crazy weather. But holy cow I was in shorts and flip flops yesterday with the air on and this morning I wore a coat and gloves to walk Max!!! Sorry for the whining...had to vent! How about a happy card to cheer things up a bit. I love love love the colors at the Play Date Cafe this week. I was inspired by the summeriness (is that a word?) of them and the polka dot pattern on the turtle's back!

I was doing a bit of clean up in my lil ol studio and found this pretty little matted dragonfly that I had stamped two of quite awhile back. Perfect shade of green. The polka dot stamp and matching label are PTI. My dragonfly is missing the label, he's kinda old *wink* ~ no offense buddy!! I embossed some polka dots on a white panel, then added that to the navy card base. I saved this snippet of green ribbon from a package I had received. It worked out perfectly with a wee bit of navy & white twine. The focal panel looked so sweet that I simply added buttons for my school bus yellow. Didn't want to get to busy and distract from it!

Off to run the vacuum, maybe it will warm me up!! ~Lisa

The weather has been crazy around here, too, my dear. Not 45, but chilly for normal this time of year. I want it to stick around as long as possible, though. Summers are LONG and HOT in Kansas.

LOVE that darling dragonfly and all your little snippets and buttons! Plus, your play on polka dots is just too fun!

Darling card, Lisa! Love the buttons & that you stamped your own polka dots. I hear you about the weather--75 & sun to 55 & rain--turned on the heat & back using the electric blanket!

Very pretty card! I have a schnauzer that looks much like yours. He is not yet a year old. Best dog I've ever had.

I'm so with you on this weather, Lisa...CRAZY!!! I guess the heat will be here soon enough, though. We're heading south to the mountains of TN. It is supposed to be warming up nicely there. I'll try to send it your way! Beautiful card, today! Love the fresh, clean look of your colors and design!

Love the ultra summeriness of this sweet card, Lisa! And your scattering of buttons is perfect. We had chilly temps over the weekend (and lots of rain!), too, but we'll be hitting 90 by the end of the week.

The weather here has been very unpredictable, too. But I love that about Spring - sweating and playing outside one day, inside with a sweater during a thunderstorm the next. LOL!

Fantastic card for these Play Date Café colors, Lisa. Love the big polka dots in the background, and you do the best little bows, I swear! Beautiful. ;-)
