DeNami July Blog Hop ~ Summer Splash!

Hey there peeps, time for another fun filled DeNami blog hop. Our theme this month is Summer Splash. You should be arriving here from Ardyth's blog where I'm sure you were amazed!! If you get lost along the way, or would like to start at the beginning, you can head over to the DeNami blog for the complete list of participants. Remember that commenting on each blog gives you the chance to win one of two gift certificates for a shopping spree at the DeNami Design store ...can't beat that!!! For my contribution to the hop I sent two little chickies on a rolling deep sea dive, take a look!

Don't they look like they're having fun! This scuba chickie is one of the new release stamps. To make this card I stamped portions of the large dot swirls to make the rolling sea. Next I colored the panel in with chalk. The chickies and sea shells were stamped using kraft ink. I erased the blue chalk inside the images then colored them. A bit of masking on the shells was done to add the sea grass from the under the sea set behind them. I gave one of the chickies bubbles from the under the sea set on the other a little water spray using the seeds/drops stamp!

I trimmed out the focal panel around the flow of the waves then adhered it to a sky blue card base. Two small clouds were stamped and fussy cut before being added to the card. My sentiment was tucked in just above the waves.

Here's a close up of a scuba chickie to show the glossy accents I used on the water goggles, air bubbles and water spray! Their fins were topped off with a glitter Gelly Roll pen along with some accents on the shells.

Okay that does it for me, now you're off to visit the ever so fabulous DeNami Addict Tina!!! Thanks for hopping by today ~Lisa

Hi Lisa, Although I have enjoyed the blog hop very much, your card has to be my favorite. Scuba diving is something my Hubbie and I enjoy together so I definitely want this stamp. Those chickies with snorkels are just too cute. I love the softness of the blue hues, as well. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Hugs,
Laura
