I covered my Sky Blue card base with a die cut panel (ME) of decorative paper. Next I die cut a MFT label using the same Sky Blue cardstock. A PPP Stitched Tag holds my sentiment. The card is finished off with a trio of teeny ladybugs!
I could have just popped up the stitched tag holding the sentiment. But to me, a card looks a little more balanced and cohesive when you pull a bit of the card base forward and into your design. This must come from my floral design background. I never liked it when someone would order an arrangement then ask that one red rose be added! It always looked out of place to me. So to make it work, I would add a bow in the color of the rose, even a butterfly or bird on a long pick having the same color. It unified things...in my mind anyway!!
Head over to the DeNami shop and check out the sale!
Thanks for visiting with me today ~Lisa
