Being Patient...

Sweet P got a puppy for Christmas and he has his first birthday coming up this fall! She likes that they share the same birthday month, so I can't let his go by without a card. He's a berne-labra-doodle, so he's a big boy! All black with just a little white strip down his chest.

I was a lucky winner at Colorado Craft Company this summer. I picked their Anita Jeram ~ Stay Pawsitive set because the pup reminded me of Crosby. Oh yeah, that's his name! She named him after her favorite hockey player! I think he'll fit right in at The Paper Players this week. They're looking for four legged friends.

He's stamped with black ink, then again with Versa Mark and clear embossed. I was holding my breath that he would turn out colored all black... and he did! Next came a little ink blending followed by the flowers (IO) and sentiment. I added a polka dot panel cut with MFT's Wonky Rectangles. The butterflies were last minute additions due to an ink smudge!

Okay, off this goes to the gallery and off I go to the grocery store!

Heat embossing the stamp kept the detaills on this darling pup, Lisa. You made him a wonderful place to be patient and wait in the garden until he goes for a walk.

Ohhh, your sweet pup is adorable nestled in the flowers and all framed up in polka dots! I'll bet the real Crosby is a big happy fluff ball, the kind I love best. That's quite a triple combo -- all good breeds! Happy birthday to Crosby and your Sweet P!

This is totally adorable, Lisa! And how sweet and thoughtful of you to make Crosby a birthday card! I bet Sweet P will be thrilled!!! And as someone who grew up in Pittsburgh I come from a long line of Pittsburgh Penguin fans, so I think it's absolutely fantastic that Sweet P named her pup after her favorite hockey player :) Super cute!!!

Oh my Lisa, your four-legged friend is adorable and I'm sure Miss Sweet P will love it! The sentiment made me smile too - my brother has a cava-poo and these words could not be further from the truth as far as he's concerned, but we love him regardless! Thanks for playing along with my theme over at The Paper Players this week!

Well, I've finally given up on ever catching up with blog reading. So, I'm starting over. Thanks for all your comments, encouragement & friendship--so appreciated! I can't comment on all the posts I've missed, but had to on this one. How wonderful to have a puppydog in the family...and you didn't have to do the training--haha! This is such a wonderful card!
