And now for our next challenge!

What a perfect WORD Carol has chosen for this week's Just Us Girls challenge! We've already had a taste of winter with a snowy start to our week. Thankfully, it didn't stick around! I did put some of that snow on today's card though! Take a look...

I popped a snowy embossed panel (SSS) onto a gray gingham covered card base. Next came this cutie patootie Santa from Lasting Impressions. GAH... I love his polka dot beard to bits! I tucked a few BPD pine sprigs behind him and finished things off with a MB sentiment tab. Something tells me the price of sleigh rides has gone up a tad though!

How does the word WINTER inspire you? I look forward to seeing your creations in our gallery!

Happy Holidays

Hey there! I have a cute bright and happy holiday card to share today. This one is headed to the Inkspirational challenge. They're looking for Knit/Knitted items.

I think sweet little Birch's (POD) hat qualifies. But just in case, I stenciled a TE knit background too! I cut Birch out using a MFT Stitched Circle die then popped him onto an old PTI Mat Stack die. I thought topping it with this big glitzy bow made it look like an ornament! A sprinkling of PPP tiny stars and a gold embossed sentiment from one of their older sets adds more holiday pizazz. Everything went onto a base made from Poppystamps Pool Party cardstock.

Speaking of Poppystamps cardstock, have you checked it out? Not only does it work beautifully for your die cuts, but the weight is perfect for a nice sturdy card base!

Okay, back to the couch for me. I've got a cold with a no fun cough attached. The hubs has taken charge and ordered me to go rest!

A Snowman Merry Christmas Wish!

I'm still cranking out those Christmas cards, how about you? Truth be told, I got a very late start on them. It's been a busy year! When I saw Kim's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, this idea popped into my head. Take a look...

I stamped my cutie Stampendous snowman, Copic colored him, then cut him twice using two MFT stitched Circle dies. I popped him onto a snowy embossed background then trimmed off the left side. Everything went onto a red card base and I topped it off with a Memory Box gold and white sentiment tab. There are accents added with a gold glitter pen that are being camera shy on this cloudy rainy morning!

I noticed he fits in perfectly over at the Tic Tac Toe challenge too! I've used the diagonal line: Christmas Sentiment, Gold, Snow/Snowman.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!

Just Us Girls #800!!!

We're celebrating 800 challenges at Just Us Girls!! What's a celebration without prizes? Some of the DT members are offering prizes on their personal blogs. You can find those details on their individual blogs. Vicki is our hostess this week and she is offering a $25 gift card to Simon Says Stamps on her blog. Rules are simple, you must play along this week and you must comment on the team member's blog to be eligible for their prize.

Since our Sweet P will be turning 11 this month (I know, can you believe that??!!), I've put together a Sweet Pea stamp set prize package for one lucky random winner.

A new month brings us a new guest designer. Please stop by to give the talented Leslie Miller a warm welcome!

Now that all of the details have been taken care of, lets get to my card. I'm sharing the soon to be 11 year old's birthday card for today's celebration!

At the beginning of the school year, P picked out school supplies with a cherry theme. That's been her jam since. I've been on the hunt for all things cherry LOL!! Papa and I have a cute mix of cherry items for her birthday. A personalized hoodie, PJs, socks, notebooks, journals and pens are among the mix! I even found a roll of cherry wrapping paper! My sweet friend, Michele was kind enough to send me these Concord and 9th {Cherry Nice} goodies to use for the birthday girl! I framed (Pinkfresh Studio) the cherries, that are popped up on foam tape, and added some cute blue gingham (it matches the PJs!). Embossed hearts by Amy Tangerine were the perfect background.

A matching gift tag was in order!

I added the embossed cherries and layered up the two 'sweet' sentiments Michele added to the package. They went on a coordinating gingham frame tag with the personalized Hero Arts 'P' added on a foam dot.

Phew, that was a long post! Thanks for sticking with me to the end. It's your turn now, friends. All of us at Just Us Girls hope you'll join in our celebration this week. It's ANYTHING GOES... that's an easy one! Have fun!
