With All My Heart

As the snow falls and the laundry tumbles, I had thoughts of summer and our yellow knockout roses on my mind! Seeing the bare bushes on either side of our little Max's grave had me longing for warmer days and those gorgeous yellow blooms. So, I put this together using this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Take a look...

I stamped an IO Fairy Rose with Versa Mark ink, gold heat embossed it, colored it with Copics and fussy cut it. It was added to a card base with a sweet Amy Tangerine embossed panel, a strip of PP and a little gold border snippet. The sentiment is by The Stamp Market.

I'll set this aside for our anniversary. You see, my guy planted those roses for me two years ago as a Mother's Day gift. More than once he's mentioned to me, "Those yellow roses are quite lovely, babe."

Have a great weekend!

Just Us Girls #806

Hey there! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls! Vicki is our hostess and she's given us a Mood Board with so many possibilities.

I have to admit, I was a bit stumped on this one! I finally settled in on the pine trees and that little log cabin in the bottom center to create a simple masculine card.

The Purple Onion trees were stamped on a postage die from The Stamp Market. As a nod to the log cabin, I stamped a woodgrain background (POD) and die cut it with a MFT Wonky Rectangle die. All of the postal elements are from the PRS Happy Mail set. I added the trio of little gold hearts to cover a boo boo. The trees were stamped with Altenew ink and it was not Copic friendly!

Not thrilled with this one, but hey, you can't win 'em all! I'm sure I'll be much happier with what you add to our gallery!

Just Us Girls #805

Hello lovelies! Elizabeth is hosting our Word Week challenge at Just Us Girls. What does the word ENCOURAGEMENT say to you? My cousin just lost her husband of 43 years. She's lived in another state for 30 years, but we grew up together. Family vacations, sleep overs, shopping trips, baton twirling... we were/are more than cousins. Her husband didn't want any type of service and she's honoring his wishes. These words of encouragement are for her.

I recently realized I've gotten away from stamping and use dies more often. Maybe it was just the business of the holidays and the busy year we've had with my dad's health issues. Dies are faster, I suppose. But I want to try to stamp and color more often this year. Dies are still great... don't get me wrong, I do love them!

With that thought in mind, I pulled out the Weekend Doodles Altenew set and got to work. Popped the flowers onto and embossed panel (thanks again, Sue!) with a vellum sentiment tag.

Now it's your turn. Be sure to stop by the blog for some inspiration from the DT and our guest designer, Lauren!

Thanks!

My crafty nook has been cleaned up and the Christmas decorations have been taken down and tucked away. Time to relax! I did just that by making a cute little thank you card for Sweet P.  The colors and fun photo over at Inspire Bwere just what I needed to get those creative juices flowing again!

Using the colors from the photo, I cut my Poppystamps Nordic Chilly Snowman and dressed her in some PTI papers. My PPP stitched square was stamped with an old Hero Arts snowflake and heat embossed. These went onto the embossed (SSS) card base with a couple of cute trees that were a free gift from The Stamp Market

Without realizing it during the process, I used the offered sketch from Inspired By too!

That's it from me today, my friends.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new Poppystamps post for you!
Thanks for stopping by!
