CTS ~ Thank You

Like so many of you, I'm sad to see another of my favorite challenges is saying goodbye. I couldn't let CAS(E) this Sketch come to an end without sharing a thank you card with them.

My card features a trio of Purple Onion Design images colored with Copics. I've fussy cut one and stamped the other two on Pretty Pink Posh die cuts. Some embossed polka dots and a strip of patterned paper finished things off.

Thank you, Chrissy and your amazing design team for bringing so much inspiration week after week.

CTS #396 ~ Merry Christmas

Well, it's official, winter is coming like it or not! We had tiny little snowflakes fluttering about today and lots of cold blustery wind. So yes, it was a good day to snuggle in and be creative. Here's one for CAS(E) this Sketch.

I pulled some sparkly patterned paper from my stash, die cut it with a ME frame, added my PPP die cut sentiment along with a little Carta Bella banner stamped with a PTI sentiment. Easy peasy! Since I've used die cuts, I'll also add this to the Just Us Girls gallery.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks

Hello lovelies! I had some time to get crafty this afternoon and put together this little number for the CAS(E) this Sketch and The Card Concept challenges.

Those pretty hydrangeas, scrumptious fall apples and pumpkins found their way into the sketch! My apple by PTI is from a set of two dies. One solid and this one, the outline and sentiment. I thought it was a fun substitute for the wreath in the sketch. It looks clean and layered to me, how about you?

Hope you like it!

Holiday Hugs

When I saw this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, it reminded me of a Christmas card I had made several years ago. I've tweaked it a bit by simplifying the design and adding an embossed card base.

The snowflake (Inkadinkado) is a favorite of mine. A small woodblock stamp that always stamps beautifully! The stars, sentiment and hearts are from the PTI Love Lives Here:Holiday set, also a favorite. One more favorite, this snowflake embossing folder!

One more for my pathetically low Christmas card stash!

Autumn Wishes

Hi friends! I'm popping in for a quick minute today with my entry for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

My patterned paper and adorable little mouse are leftovers from previous 12 Kits of Occasions kits. I added a PRS (Fall Colors) sentiment.

Okay, I'm off to spend the rest of the day with my guy.

He just finished mowing the lawn!

Autumn Blessings

In the midst of all this craziness 2020 has given us, there is a bright spot. Our little Sweet P started virtual kindergarten here at gramma's house on Tuesday! Talk about one excited little girl! Things have started off smoothly. She'll be with me three days a week and daddy has arranged his schedule to take over the other two. Mommy is teaching virtual 1st grade.

Speaking of daddy, he received a bad dog bite on his wrist today. Upper and lower fangs of a large dog went down to the bone. He was assisting his vet at his clinic and took the bite to save her from it. No stitches, they don't stitch dog bites due to the bacteria involved. But he's in a lot of pain. Breaks my heart.

I've been so busy that I'm squeaking this card in under the wire at CAS(E) this Sketch. Just Us Girls is looking for leaves, so I'll add it to their gallery too.

I added leaves and the grid from PRS's Fall Colors set and a sentiment from SSS. I'm not quite ready for traditional fall colors yet. It's hard to get in that mood when it's 90 and humid!

Thanks for stopping by.
I'll see you tomorrow with a new Inspired By post!

Grateful for You

Hello lovelies! I'm popping in for a quick minute with a card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and The Paper Players challenges.

I used an old Inkadinkado wood block dragonfly stamp. Aren't the fancy wings and antenna pretty! I die cut a PTI fillable frames 3 from vellum for the rectangle portion of the sketch. The PFS sentiment was heat embossed using Ranger Liquid Platinum powder. I went right down the middle on the Tic-Tac-Toe board... metallic, embossing and thank you.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week!

Thanks

Hey there sweet peeps! Have you seen the pretty sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch? I put this sweet summery card together to add to their gallery. Take a look...

I stamped my DeNami Design hydrangea on white cardstock, colored it with Copics and die cut it with an old Spellbinders Labels 18 die. This pretty thanks sentiment is by Altenew, don't you just love it! And what's a summer bloom without a teeny butterfly?

Hope you like it!

Warm Wishes

What a beautiful weekend we had, mild temps and pretty blue skies! We also celebrated my mom's 80th birthday today with a drive by parade including LOTS of her fmaily. I bought her a crown and a sash that said 80 and fabulous! Needless to say, she loved every minute of it and said it was the best birthday she's had in a long time! Oh, and for those of you who saw her cake on FB... she said it was delicious and had two pieces!!

Now, how about a card. This one is for CAS(E) this Sketch and Just us Girls.

I framed my Penny Black flowers with a Pretty Pink Posh scallop hexagon die. The teeny tiny sentiment is from the PTI Tiny Tags set. My little bee (PPP) made his way across the card to pollinate those flowers!

Just a little orneriness going on at great grammy's parade!

Love

I hope you had a good weekend! I had a little stamping time Saturday morning and am finally getting around to posting the card I made. This one is for CAS(E) this Sketch.

I used my new Pinkfresh Studio Leafy Branch die as the rectangle portion of the sketch. It's layered together with some Altenew blooms (Peony Bouquet) and PPP sparkling clear sequins. Scored lines take care of the horizontal part of the sketch. My love sentiment (IO) was die cut three times and glued together. I love how wispy this is!

Thanks for visiting!

Thinking of You

We're starting our Memorial Day weekend off in a soggy rainy manor, how about you? It doesn't feel like Memorial Day weekend though. No picnics or family gatherings, it's sad. But we're healthy and safe and that's certainly something to celebrate. I could use a cheerful little card as a pick me up, you too? I put this one together for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

This sweet mouse is from Purple Onion Designs. I've colored her with Copics and grounded the image with a PPP die cut border. I thought the whimsical font of the DeNami Design sentiment went well with the image and couldn't resist adding a trio of rhinestones.

Off to the CTS gallery she goes!

I See the Moon

Hey there! Wishing all of you mamas out there a Happy Mother's Day! I'm popping in for a quick minute to share a card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch. I followed the sketch to a T, why mess with a good thing!! Here ya go...

I die cut a PTI star then stamped the sentiment and stars (RubberMoon Stamps) onto it. The moon (also RMS) was stamped, punched out and popped up with foam tape. Some sparkly pink and gold Washi provided my top and bottom borders. Easy peasy!

Thanks for taking a peek!

A Little Note

Hey there, how's everybody holding up? We're doing as well as can be expected during this difficult time. Missing family and feeling the need to hold those we love in our arms. Card making does clear my mind a bit. I have one ready for the CAS(E) this Sketch gallery.

I toned down the business of the colorful honeycomb paper with a slip of linen vellum. A MFT peek-a-boo window serves as the square layer from the sketch. The blooms are older PTI and the bees by PPP.

My favorite in house critic gave his input last night prompting me to make a change this morning. His response on the revision... "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then". He's an ornery one and he keeps me laughing!!!

God bless friends and be safe.

Love

CAS(E) this sketch has a real doozy this week. I jumped in head first though LOL! The first couple of tries had me struggling to stay afloat. Not one to throw in the towel, I jumped back in the pool and this happened!

TA-DA!!

This patterned paper was with me from the beginning. It was the other two areas that gave me a hard time. I finally pulled out my Altenew Beautiful Day set. I stamped the small floral image with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed them gold. The deep V in the middle is actually a linen vellum.  My sparkly gold sentiment is Impression Obsession.

I asked my favorite in house critic if he liked it.
He said "Yeah, I guess... if you like that sort of thing."
Gotta love him, he's honest!!

Happy Easter

Hello and a happy Sunday to you! Popping in today with a card for this week's CAS(E) this sketch. Take a look...

I used my favorite small hydrangea stamp (Inkadinkado) and some sweet IO bunnies for this card. The sentiment is one I picked up years ago. It's by Paper Inspirations.

We're enjoying some sunshine today, hope you are too!

You Make Me Smile!

Hi friends! Dropping in today with a card for CAS(E) this sketch.

This was super quick to put together. A PPP hot air balloon, MFT stenciled clouds and an Inkadinkado sentiment all played well together. The glittered band on the balloon was the most time consuming item... drying time that is!

Enjoy your weekend!

PS. You all make me smile!

Thank You

Brrr, winter came by for a visit today. The snow was comin' down! So I snuggled in. I made a pumpkin pie (oh does the house smell good!!) and a card for this week's CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

When Michele and Tom came for their visit in November, she brought the Pink Fresh Studio's Eucalyptus Fantasy stamp set with her. This was the perfect opportunity to use one of those images I had stamped and die cut. I thought it worked well as the skinny rectangle in the sketch. My Altenew sentiment fills in as the chubby rectangle. Can rectangles be chubby?

Hope you have a great weekend.
I will... pumpkin pie... just sayin'!!

Have a Sweet Day!

Hang on to your hats kids, I have a bright one to share today!

The new sketch at CAS(E) this sketch was calling my name. I'm trying to use some of my older and neglected stamps. This little M&M is one I picked up at a stamp convention eons ago. Kinda fun huh!

Okey-dokey, that's it from me today.
I think I'm in need of a wee bit of chocolate!

You're a Masterpiece!

Hey there! Taking a quick minute to share a card that will be going into the CAS(E) this sketch gallery. Hope you like it!

This went together easily with a PPP tag die cut, PRS teeny splatters, a trio of hydrangea blooms and a sentiment leftover from The 12 Kits of Occasion. The hydrangea stamp is a favorite of mine that I picked up on a trip to Cape Cod. I thought the pop of aqua blue would look pretty with the black and white combo.

Have a blessed day and thanks for visiting!

Hi!

Hello friends and Happy New Year! I have a simple frosty little card to kick of my new year of crafting.

After seeing the skates in the Inspired By photo, I knew I had to ink up this sweet DeNami pair. I added in a few HA snowflakes and a PRS sentiment. I was also inpsired by the different shades of white in the photo along with that pop of silver. I used this week's CAS(E) this Sktech to put everything together!

I hope your year has gotten off to a good start!
Thanks you for spending a bit of your time with me.
