Thinking of you

Hey there! When the CASology post popped up in my feed the other day, I had to grin at the cue word ~ fox. My hubby just told me about seeing a cute fox at the edge of the parking lot when he arrived at work the other morning. This challenge was meant to be! It seemed like a good time to ink this little fella from Prickley Pear Stamps up.

I've had him for a long time and don't even remember where I picked him up. He's just a little fella! I masked him off so he could be tucked into the grass. After adding some stenciled clouds and the sentiment, I die cut the panel with a Pink & Main frame.

Now off he goes to the gallery!

Count your many blessings

I'm doing something I haven't done in awhile...playing along at CASology! Their cue word is Tea. This card popped into my mind, so I gave it a go.

This darling teapot is by Paper Sweeties. I die cut it from some older MME paper. The steam is a DeNami image. This was super simple to make I love the way it turned out!

In troubling times like this, I do count my blessing and am thankful for what we have. There are so many struggling right now and it's heartbreaking. My prayers go out to all of them. Be safe, be well and may God bless you all.

CQC #330 ~ C4C #469

Popping in tonight with a fun little card I made this afternoon. I had a heck of a time getting this little critter colored. My lightest brown Copic marker was running out on me. You wouldn't believe what all I used to color this little dude. An 'on it's last leg' Copic marker, watercolor pencils, Tombow marker, and colored pencils. It was pouring the rain so Hobby Lobby was a no go! He'll due, I guess.

Anyway... This stamp is by Darcie. I picked up at a stamp convention years ago. I've used the other images in the set, but never this one. CASology has Bouquet as their cue word and I think this works! Then there's Crazy 4 Challenges with their groundhog or ground critter challenge. What do you think this little dude is? I can see groundhog, how about you? Maybe a bear, I'm just not sure!

Thanks for stopping by, take care!

Celebrate!

Hey there, I'm still here! Sorry for my absence again, I've been a bit under the weather with a sinus infection. No stuffy runny nose, just crazy headaches and a cough. Oh the cough...the kind that hits hard just...as...you're...dozing off! Anyway, I did put this little number together today for this week's CASology challenge. The cue word is dress.

I have always loved the sweet ruffly dress on this little lady. Paired with her pigtails and boots, it just makes me smile! I've colored her using a fall palette and inked on a little green to ground her. Simple and sweet, hope you like it!

Back to School!

Hello! I have a back to school project today. Another little number put together with my 12 Kits of Occasions August kit (Teacher's Pet). I'll be entering this one at both The Paper Players and CASology.

The adorable Lawn Fawn milk carton came into play again using Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4 and Stitched Tags dies to decorate it. I punched the Precious Remembrance Shop School Days sentiment to add to the PTI Pencil Blooms.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

CCC #261 ~ You Are Kind of Amazing!

Hi there! I had some crafty time today, so I got busy on this card for CASology. Their cue word is {Safari} and I knew just the stamp I wanted to use.

I have always loved this adorable lion from Stamps by Judith. The expression on his face is what gets me! He's stamped among a rocks and grass image, also by Judith. I popped him up on a ME panel then added the Wplus9 sentiment.

Thanks for visiting. I'll be spending the day with Sweet P tomorrow! Mommy has to start getting her classroom ready. Can you believe school starts soon. Where does the time go?

CCC #259!

"Celebrate good times come on!"

Melissa is celebrating 5 years of her wonderful clean and simple card challenge Casology! I had the pleasure of playing along with the very first challenge. It was a given that I would join in the fun to celebrate this milestone with her and her team!

I love this tiny balloon by Amuse. I paired it with one of their sentiments and a cute little die cut cloud too. What's a celebration without a little bit of sparkle! Mine comes in the form of 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh. I think their itty bitty size works well with this tiny balloon.

Here's to you Melissa and many more years at CASology!
Congratulations!

CCC#258 ~ Let Your Dreams Soar!

Goodness gracious are there cobwebs and dust on this blog or what!! My week after our vacation has been so busy that I could use another week away! I did manage to get a card made yesterday though, so here you go. This one is for the diamond challenge at CAS(ology).

Everything I've used (with the exception of cardstock, Copics and ink) is by Pretty Pink Posh. The newly released Scallop Diamond Tags and Fly A Kite Stamps & Coordinating Dies were perfect for this challenge. A few PPP Sparkling Clear Sequins (4mm & 6mm) to add to the Wink of Stella sparkle finished it off nicely.

I'm off and running again tomorrow.
Hope to get in more crafty time this weekend!

CCC #254 ~ From Our House to Yours!

Hello! Thought I would kick my weekend off with a card for this week's CASology challenge. House is their cue word and this is the house of my choosing!

I would love to live in a lighthouse. A cozy little home sweet home for my hubby and I. Image how lovely it would be to climb those stairs to the tippy top and gaze out over the water. To be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves then awakened by the call of the sea gulls soaring above. Ahhhh yes, it would be enchanting.....

This lighthouse image, by Inkadinkado, is one I picked up while on vacation in Cape Cod a few years ago. I added a little shimmer to the water, tops of the bushes and the lens with WOS. My sentiment is an oldie but a goodie by Hero Arts. A few Sparkling Clear sequins (4mm & 6mm) by Pretty Pink Posh were added for extra pizazz!

Have yourself a fabulous weekend! I'll be back on Monday with my Precious Remembrance Shop Design It Monday post.

CCC #252 ~ Thanks!

Hello and happy weekend! I have a quick CAS card to share for this week's CASology challenge.

Lots of crisp white space make the perfect backdrop for my fancy Inkadinkado dragonfly. It's stamped on a MFT die cut. A simple sentiment by Amuse and a few Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow sequins (4mm & 6mm) finished things off.

With all of the green on this I'll also be linking up with The Hearts Desires challenge (thanks Katie!).

Have a great weekend! We are headed for a few days in the high 80s and one or two at 90 ~ eek!

You're Special!

Hi there! I'm slowly getting back into my art studio after the holidays. When I saw this week's cue word for CASology, I knew I had to play along. My brother-in-law recently retired as Director of State Parks. He has a birthday coming up and I thought the cue word 'forest' was a perfect fit!

Following in the footsteps of many bloggers this year, I'm reaching for some of my older stamps. This pretty pine tree is by Hero Arts. It's stamped with Ripe Avocado ink (PTI) with some first and second generation stamping. I inked the upper portion of the panel with a soft blue then die cut with my Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Circle die. I cut some extra layers of the outer circle for more depth. This nifty pine embossing folder was also a good fit. The DeNami Design sentiment is on a PTI Tiny Tag die, also one of my older dies. In fact I think it was one of the first things I purchased from PTI!

I would love to know what you think of my new blog design! My profile pic needs to be updated. Hubby has been working lots of overtime. We'll get around to it one day. Other than a bit more mileage, I look the same LOL!!

CCC #216 ~ With Sympathy

Happy autumn! Sure doesn't feel like the first day of fall for us with a high of 88 today. What's up with that? I have a sympathy card to share for this week's CASology challenge. Their cue word is frame. I'm not in need of a sympathy card, thanks be to God. So we'll let this one be for the loss of another summer!

I've had this stamped and embossed frame in my possession for years. I don't recall where it came from, perhaps a class or a borrowed stamp. But it was calling my name to be used in this challenge. I added three PTI Pretty Peony blooms, one die cut and popped up. The sentiment is one that I won from Great Impressions. I added just a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Silver Sequins (4mm & 6mm) to pull everything together. I love the way this card turned out, so elegant!

Have a wonderful day friends and thanks for visiting~ Lisa

Guesting at CASology!

This is my second post today
For the ColourQ challenge, please click here!

Hello! I'm so happy to be guesting with the fabulous ladies at CASology today! The cue word this week is {Beach}. What a great way to say farewell to summer as we prepare to usher in fall!

I just love this stamp by Ann-ticipations. This sweet little girl in her polka dot swimsuit with her tousled curls steals my heart every time! Those curls were coated with Wink of Stella. I added a little patch of beach grass for her to wiggle her tiny toes in and an older SU sentiment.

Don't forget to visit the CASology blog to see what the team has to share. It's a line up of CAS perfection! I can't wait to see how the cue word inspires you. ~Lisa

CCC #212 ~ May All Good Things...

Hello, hello! When I saw the cue word for this week's CASology was fun, I knew I had a few stamps that would work. After looking through them, I decided this one was the most fun!

I mean come on, what's more fun than a cute bunny rabbit driving a topiary VW bug!! And a convertible at that!! This stamp is by Art Gone Wild and the sentiment is an older SU stamp. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins (4mm & 6mm) for some subtle bling. The clouds were made by embossing my dies and they were a pain to get them to show up in the photograph. Hubby helped me out. What a guy I have, wouldn't trade him for anything in this world!!

Thanks for taking a peek! ~Lisa

It's Your Birthday...!

Hey there! I'm popping in with a quick post sharing the card I made for this week's CASology challenge. Their cue word is art.

I had this artsy sentiment left over form one of my 12 Kits of Occasion packages. I trimmed it out to place over these fun candles from some Dear Lizzy paper. A little black matting and trio of rhinestones was all it needed!! Hope you like it!

Thanks for visiting ~Lisa

Hello Sunshine!

Hey there peeps! Just popping in with a quick card for this week's CASology challenge. Their cue word is sunshine and we have had plenty of that today!

I stenciled my sun (PTI harvest gold and summer sunrise inks) onto a white panel followed with the Clear and Simple sentiment (PTI smokey shadow ink). Then I popped this onto a harvest gold card base. Easy peasy!

Hope things are sunny where you are! ~Lisa

When You Love & Laugh...

Hi there! Just popping in with a quick post today. I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches and CASology.

All of my stamped images are from the PTI Meadow Greens set. The die cut butterfly is from their Love Lives Here set. I used just a snippet of patterned paper then embossed my card base with stripes to mimic it. My sentiment might by just a weeeee bit wonky, oh well, not too bad!!

Enjoy your weekend ~Lisa

CCC #196 ~ Love!

Hey there sweet peeps! I had a quick minute to make a card yesterday. I'll be entering this one at CASology.

This week's cue word is move. You might be wondering why I chose a butterfly for this challenge. Well...do you ever notice how gracefully a butterfly moves? Their delicate wings fluttering about as if they were writing poetry in the air. Pausing for a moment or two on a flower while they ponder their next verse. It's as if they move about mastering the art of that rhythmical composition while we aren't paying attention! Anyway...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Have yourself a delightful day friends! ~Lisa

Happy News!!

Hi friends! I'm delighted to say I will be designing for Pretty Pink Posh for another term! I love working for Paulina and using her incredible products!! We have a few new ladies joining us this time. Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Gaytri and Carissa. Here's the new DT list. I'm sure the girls would love to hear from you!!

Paulina has an awesome giveaway to celebrate the new team - she's giving away $100 gift certificate - head on over to the blog and leave a comment to enter!  Click HERE!

In honor of this announcement I thought I would make a card using PPP products. This one is for CASology's cue word ~ sprinkle.

I've used Rainy Days Stamp Set and dies for my CAS card. A few 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins give it some sparkle without the clutter! This card will be going to my brother-in-law who's mother has been very ill. I wanted to lift his and my sister-in-laws spirits and let them know we're thinking of them.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for taking a peek! ~Lisa

Thinking of You!

Hi there! Have any fun plans for your weekend? We finally have pretty spring weather, so I hope to get out and enjoy it! But first, how about this little number I made for the cue word pink at CASology.

When I saw the cue word was pink, I though of this sweet little piglet stamp of mine. I added just a wee bit of soft green for some grass and a few pink blooms. The stitched circle die is inlaid into the polka dot panel. I think it's a design element that kicks things up a notch but still lets the card be CAS.

Have a wonderful weekend! ~Lisa
