Just Us Girls #698 ~ You're Amazing

It's CAS week at Just Us Girls where our host Sue is looking for SPORTS themed cards. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one. I don't have anything sports themed in my arsenal! Here's what I did...

I used a circle die and Tombow marker to create my own softball. The cover die reminded me of chain link fence! Isn't this sentiment from The Stamp Market fun! Now you might be questioning the color of my ball. Check out the big softball in Sweet P's hand!

She played in her first softball league this year and the balls were lime green with blue stitching! At 8 years old, it was a learning league where they played all positions. She also attended several pitching clinics offered and boy oh boy, she found her jam on the mound! The little stinker even made the All Star Team! She'll move up to a new league in the spring and can't wait!

Thanks for sticking with this proud gramma!!

We hope you'll join us this week!

Hey

It's time to use up all of those left over bits you've been holding on to! Ina is our hostess for Word Week at Just Us Girls and she's looking for 'SCRAPS'. In addition to that, we have a new guest designer for the month of October, Lynn Jardine. Welcome Lynn, so happy to have you joining us!

My PTI quilt die is always a good one to reach for when I have little bits and pieces of those 6x6 pads hanging around. I created a warm and cozy fall themed quilt then popped it up on a STAMPlorations wonky stitched background. A simple sentiment was all it needed!

I had just enough of those bits to create one more card!

* Darlene, I hope you stop back by for the answer to your question, I had no contact info for you.  The paper is from a very old My Mind's Eye 6x6 pad. It's called Lost and Found Collection - Rosy.

I haven't stopped by your blogs for a few days. Last weekend, we got a call that my husband's brother was in the hospital. We quickly gathered our things and made the trip to North Carolina. Sadly, we lost him Wednesday night.

I'm sure you all had your usual incredible cards on display. I hope you'll forgive me for not trying to play catch-up. Take care and be sure to hug the ones you love.
