Just Us Girls #692 ~ Hi

It's word week at Just Us Girls. Lisa K. is our hostess and she's picked the perfect summer word for us ~ Bee! I have a little cutie who's buzzing by to say hi!

He's part of the Garden Bugs set by Purple Onion Designs. Isn't he adorable! I stenciled some clouds on a little scrap of white, stamped the bee then framed him with a PPP Polaroid die. I thought the fun striped sentiment and whimsical blooms were a good match.

The DT and our August GD, Greta have some terrific inspiration for you. We sure hope you'll join us this week. It should be a honey of a gallery!

Thinking of You

A rainy day means a crafty day! After completeing a couple of DT assignments, I made a card for fun. Freshly Made Sketches had the perfect sketch for my jumping off point. Take a look...

When I saw the large rectangle in the sketch, I was determined to dig into my plethora of 6x6 paper pads to make something work! I found a 'not too in your face' lacy paper that worked perfectly with some vellum and PTI's Mix and Mat: Scallop dies. The W&W rose was cut with a coordinating striped paper. A gold embossed sentiment seemed the right fit as did a few bits of gold confetti. I like a pretty thinking of you sentiment. It works for so many different occasions!

Thinking of you and wishing you a good day!

Sending Hugs & Happy Thoughts

Hi friends! I'm playing along with The Paper Players tonight using a new to me die gifted from a sweet blogging friend. Take a look...

Aren't these Winnie and Walter flowers cute! I've layered them up with their leaves, vellum leaves and a sentiment banner. The butterflies were a last minute addition. Hindsight, I would have left them off. My thought was to balance out the color of the heat embossed sentiment. Oh well...  next time!

Thanks for visiting!

CTS squared!

Happy first day of October! I find it difficult to believe it's truly October since it will be 90 today. I sure hope fall finds it's way here sometime soon! While I wait I'll share my CAS(E) this Sketch entry with you.

This one was difficult to photograph. The hi die cut (Winnie & Walter) is cut from silver cardstock and boy does it shine! As you can see I took the argyle and ran with it!

I'm happy you spent a little of your day with me.
I also hope you're enjoying some lovely autumn weather!

Hidyho, where in the heck did May go??!! Your guess is as good as mine. While we try to figure it out, let's just get to some 12 Kits fun! Tracey is our hostess with the mostest this month sharing her {June Celebrations} kit with us all. Oh the plaids, those pretty pretty plaids!

This little lady will find her way into Sweet P's mailbox. Mommy just signed her up for a summer reading program at the library. It's all about the solar system and she's one excited little girl! I think I'll tuck in some space stickers!

As I usually do with one of my 12 Kits cards, I pulled out my Mama Elephant frames. This time I paired it with a PPP rectangle and a PTI spiral notebook.

I just love these feathers and I think my dad will too!

And how cute is this jumbo pencil!
Sprinkle on some gold stars, even better!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to visit the 12 Kits team, they always knock it out of the park!

Thank You!

Hi there! I finally found time to make a card yesterday for The Card Concept challenge. I had everything done but the sentiment. I added it and it moved making a blurry image. Totally mess up my card...uuugh...

Not to be defeated, I wasn't about to give up on it. After all, I had found the perfect scrap of ancient Basic Grey paper to use. That scrap became a snippet after card surgery! My card was completely different but so much prettier. I'm happy now! I think going to Mass after the blunder yesterday and a visit from my Sweet P today made everything brighter!

So many lovely things in the inspiration photo caught my eye. I created a clean and layered card based on the overall feminine look of the photo. Various shades of pink and a nod to the polka dots I spied! Do you see them on my card?

Thanks for taking a peek!

CTS #203 ~ Love!

Hello! Seems like forever since I've gotten inky and had a new card to share. I have to admit, I felt quite rusty too. What should have been a quick simple card turned into several sighs, a smack on the forehead (after getting something crooked that had an exceptionally strong adhesive) and then I swallowed my gum! All that being said, I like the way it finally turned out! This one is for Cas(e) This Sketch.

I used a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 3 die on some Authentique paper. That, along with the love die cut (Impression Obsession), was left over from my 12 Kits of Occasions Sweet Pea kit. The pretty rose is from Winnie & Walter. I popped on a trio of PPP Sweet Pea Mix Sequins and added Wink of Stella to the bloom.

Have yourself a wonderful weekend ~Lisa

cQc #329 ~ Grateful!

Hi! Ready for a new palette from ColourQ? I think you're going to enjoy this one...Basic Black, use ONE spot color and White.

This card came together in ten minutes! I was in a time crunch and thankfully spotted this lattice die cut panel my sweet friend Greta sent me. I used a large sentiment from Winnie and Walter along with a couple of their roses. I popped on a trio of rhinestones and this baby was done!!

Can't wait to see what you come up with this week as your spot color. It's always an extra beautiful gallery when we have one of these challenges with the wonderful mix of colors! Don't forget to visit the DT. They always inspire me and I know they will inspire you too! Have a great day ~Lisa

Pretty Pink Posh New Release!

Hello and welcome! The Pretty Pink Posh design team has come together today for a {New Release} blog hop!! You should be arriving here from sweet pie Laura's blog.

There are ( 2 ) $25 gift certificates up for grabs. Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 3/11/2015. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog.

This card features the new {Stitched Labels 1 Dies}

I had every intention of making a spring card, but ended up with a more early fall-like one. I was playing around with paper scraps when my dies arrived and cut this trio. They were begging to be used! Our niece is getting married in November, this will be set aside for her and her fella. The patterned paper is MME, the flowers are Winnie & Walter. I've also sprinkled on 4mm and 6mm Metallic Gold Sequins.

While my supplies were out, I made a matching gift tag.
This tag features the new {Stitched Banner Duo Dies}.

You will love the size of this banner die! It's just the right size to put on a card and the perfect size for a stand alone tag. It would also make a really cute party banner with several strung together!

Time to Hop!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello and welcome! As you can see from the graphic above we have a fun blog hop planned. The fabulous Winnie & Walter gals and Pretty Pink Posh design team have paired up for today's festivities!
There are 2 prize packs up for grabs. Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop by W&W and PPP. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 10/27/2014.
You should be arriving here from Leigh's blog. If not, no worries the complete hop list is below.
W&W sent each member of the PPP team two stamps sets of our choice ~ how GREAT was that!! I chose their fabulous {The Big, the Bold & Extras} along with {The Big, the Bold & Blessings} sets. I love the two step blooms and the over-sized sentiments!
From the PPP shop I've used the large scalloped and straight stitched line border dies (Stitched Borders 2) set along with sparkling clear sequins (4mm & 6mm). And finally I finished off my card with twine from a previously released kit.
Next up on the hop list is my teamie Maureen!! Enjoy the hop and good luck!
