CCCB #442 ~ Yeti For Christmas

Hi friends! I'm sharing another Christmas card today. It just so happens that this one fits in at the City Crafter Challenge Blog for their snowflakes challenge. 

Another card created with 12 Kits leftovers. I embossed the patterned paper with snowflakes and added a PTI vellum snowflake to the mix. A good sprinkle of PPP  Marshmallow confetti added just the right touch of pizzaz.

From Our Family To Yours

Rainy day, crafty day, snuggle in day, homemade chicken noodle soup day, hanging with my favorite guy Sunday. Yep, that about sums it up! Now how about a card. I'm sharing one that I made using this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge and the silver bells theme from City Crafter Challenge Blog.

My fun shaker card was created with Pretty Pink Posh fillers (sequins, seed beads & confetti), Papertrey Ink images and a My Favorite Things die cut for the shaker frame.

Adventure!

My title certainly captures the journey of creating this card. Holy smokes did this one have some twists and turns! It was just one of those days and this simple card took way too long! Anyway, as luck would have it, it fits into a couple of challenges.

I've used this week's CAS(E) This Sketch, colors from The Card Concept and theme from City Crafter Challenge Blog. My balloon and sentiment are by Pretty Pink Posh. The balloon is popped up with foam tape for added interest. I added the dry embossed panel for a bit of whimsy then surrounded it with a thin red mat as a nod to the curtain in the mirror. Hope you like it!

Easter Blessings!

Hey there! I have a cute little Easter card to share with you tonight. Everything fell into place perfectly for this one and I just love the way it turned out!

 

I already had the PSX bunny stamped, I just had to die cut him out. Isn't he the sweetest little thing! He's sitting in a bed of flowers die cut with a MFT frame. I've used one of my favorite embossing folders and PPP borders to add interest without being too fussy. The sentiment is by Rubber Moon. It came from a brick and mortor store several years ago. It's such a shame that all of our local stamp stores have closed their doors. Joann, Michael's and Hobby Lobby are nice, but just aren't the same.

Hey, How Are You?

Are you ready for a plethora of polka dots? My sweet blogging friend Sue Lelli (Card Therapy) sent  me the link to The City Crafter Challenge Blog who's current challenge is polka dots. She had seen a card I made and wondered if I had time to whip up another for the challenge. She had me at polka dots...so here ya go!

I've had the red polka dot paper for an eternity, not sure of the company. I cut the edge with a PPP border die.The flowers and leaves are PTI, a set I haven't used in a long time. I added speckles to the leaves using a stamp from PRS Fall Colors. Those cup little cups and the sentiment are from the PRS Coffee Love set.

All of these polka dots make me happy, how about you?

Little Moments

Hey there! Sorry about the silence here. I've been a under the weather. In fact, Sweet P, her mommy, daddy and I all have. My hubby is the only one to have escaped this icky cold! Crafting has taken a back seat to resting after a long day. I've been trying to catch up on comments here and there. But that pesky robot sticks his nose in after so many. So if I've missed your blog, I'm sorry.

I do have a card for you tonight featuring some more of those pretty new items now available at Precious Remembrance Shop.

A pair of leaves and sentiment from the Bits & Piece: Fall Colors were tucked behind my die cut tag. The tag is decorated with stickers from the Fall Colors Stickers Kit. I added a few speckles from the Fall Colors Stamp Set to break up the white space just a touch.

Welcome! I have a card to share today for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch. I had die cut the flowers for last week's challenge but time got away from me and that one didn't happen! But they've found a new home on a card for them this week. It also works for the City Crafter Challenge.

I stamped the arrows from PRS's Journey Stamp Set then added some scored line. The sketchy die cut flowers were a die gifted to me from my sweet friend Michele. I just love that lady!! And finally, my ME hello was die cut from some MME paper.

The scored lines and stamped arrows fit the sketch and are my version of the black and white stripes for CCC. I've used the sketchy flowers for CCC too!

So there you have it, hope you like it!

Hello sweet peeps! Sorry my posts have been sparse. I'm a bit under the weather ~ stuffy, headachey, blah blah, blah. But I did manage to put a card together yesterday. Actually it's a redo for the City Crafter Challenge Blog. They're asking us to rework a project that we weren't happy with the first go around.

I loved the paper pieced balloon (Pretty Pink Posh: Darling Friends) for this magnet I made last year. But I didn't like the shaker portion of it after is was complete.  And my sequins on the clouds (PPP: Rainy Days) weren't quite the right color. 

So, I reworked it into this card.

I hadn't intended to change out the bunny for a mouse, but I smudged ink on it after stamping my sentiment. I went with sparkling clear sequins here (4mm, 6mm, 10mm). I like this project much better. How about you?

RS & CCCB ~ With Love!

Hi there friends! I have a card to share today for two challenges. I'll be playing along at Retro Sketches  and the color challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog. My card is a little on the shabby chic side, hope you like it!    

I started with a piece of patterned paper from Creative Imaginations. My focal is a collection of bits and bobs. I picked up the pretty little heart doily while on vacation a few years ago. The flowers came with it. I added die cut and stamped leaves by SSS along with a trio of MS punched butterflies. I like the way the sentiment from RC fits in to the scallops of my PTI die cut frame! Wow, that's quite a collection of companies on one card!

I'm very happy you decided to spend a little of your day with me!

Happy Birthday!

Hello friends! I haven't had much extra time for card making this week. But I finally found a moment yesterday evening, so I put this card together for a couple of challenges. My inspiration comes from Freshly Made Sketches. Loved Karren's sketch this week!. Then I saw that City Crafter Challenge Blog had the theme of sequins. Well, I do have a few of those!! And then there was Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge where it is "anything goes" this week.

Speaking of SSS, I just got the adorable Unforgettable set yesterday! It was out of stock for ever so long. I paired one of the cute little elephants up with a RC circle garland to fill the square from the sketch. The large circles in the background were made with a blending tool. My sentiment was stamped on an RC banner adorned with a trio of party hats and Sparkling Clear Sequins (6mm & 4mm) from Pretty Pink Posh.

CCCB & SSS ~ Mom!

Hey there, any fun weekend plans? Our little Sweet P will be spending Sunday afternoon with us. Hubby is happy to get some grandpa time in with her! I put together a quick card today for the City Crafter Challenge Blog. They are challenging us to use Washi Tape. Not only that, but my sweet bloggy friend Darnell will be guesting with them for the month of March!! So I'm playing along as a shout out to her. I'll also be joining in at Simon Says Stamp for the Special Lady/Girly challenge.

I started with the Washi Tape on a white panel. The floral and gingham tapes are Martha Stewart, the polka dot is Queen & Co. This panel was cut out with my PPP Stitched Banner Duo Die. I used the small square die from the set to create a little focal with my PTI house and some IO grass.With a busy card front I opted for a small sentiment on my PTI tiny tag. And would you look at me using up one of my stash relics...a tiny button brad! Now only a gazillion to go LOL!!!

RS #128 & CCCB #224~ Thinking of You!

Hello and a happy Sunday to all! Are you relaxing and enjoying your day? We are, it's been drizzly off and on so we're being a bit lazy. I decided to get a little crafty and put this card together for the newest Retro Sketches challenge. Then I remembered that the City Crafter's Challenge was all about roses and I think this fits in there too!

 
I pulled some sweet MME paper, my favorite polka dot embossing folder, some dies cuts from RC (banner) & MFT (border) along with these amazing roses, sentiment and pretty little aqua buttons all from DeNami Design. I just love the way this card turned out...it's not too shabby, but just enough!!

Isn't that mason jar of roses beautiful ~ OH MY!! I was inspired by the light and dark shades of the blooms along with the pretty aqua jar and creamy colors in the background.

cQc #252 ~ You're Special!

A happy Tuesday to you! I have a card to share today featuring the new ColourQ palette. Arielle has given us an inspiration photo with cute felt Christmas ornaments. I couldn't quite get myself into the Christmas frame of mind, but I did use a sweet little deer!

I focused on the deer and the stitched edges of the ornaments.  I had this white panel left over from another project. It was already die cut with my PPP Stitched Borders 1 die. I added a second cut from red card stock. The little fawn and sentiment are by DeNami Design along with the woodgrain embossing folder. I layered two lengths of die cut (IO) grass. Isn't the polka dot grass cute!

There's an theme of animal magic at City Crafter Challenge Blog, so I'll be linking this up there. And it's embossed so off to SSS it goes!

STS #20 & CCCB #211 ~ Hi!

Hey friends! How is your week going? Ours has been crA~ Zeee weather wise, with storms and tornado warnings. It's been keeping us on our toes! Today I'm playing along for the first time with a new to me challenge...Seize The Sketch. I just learned the other day that three of my very dear blogging friends have joined the design team! To honor them and show my support I'm linking up to the challenge.

This one started by dry embossing a portion of my card base. Yep that's my pretty doliy embossing folder again *wink* Next I added some MME paper following the sketch. I just adore the doily paper!! My pretty Impression Obsession lilacs are stamped on a MFT label with a PR sentiment added. Twill ribbon (PTI), a paper doily, pearls and glitter are my accents. I'm also entering this one in the City Crafter Challenge Blog. This time we need to add a clothespin to the design. I clipped on a little checked butterfly!

City Crafter Guest Designer!

Hey there! Several weeks ago my card was chosen as the winner at the City Crafter challenge blog. With that honor came the privilege of being their guest designer!! That day is finally here and we have a Halloween inspiration photo. If you don't celebrate Halloween be sure to add the color orange to your project. I was inspired by the old fashioned look of the photo and made a treat bag for my project today!

This project started by stamping two different flourishes on the canvas bag. One was stamped along the bottom and the other was stamped twice on the upper right side. Next I glued the felt pumpkin into place. I picked this up at Hobby Lobby but changed out the leaves with some of my own felt. A pretty ruffly trim was added under the pumpkin. Two leaves were die cut with MFT leaf dies, one is polka dot the other stars. Next I stamped and trimmed out three oak leaves. To bring the green from the pumpkin leaves into my design, I snipped a few pompoms and tucked them in for the look of berries. 

I opened the bag up in this photo so you can see the upper flourishes (Inkadinkado) better. I added a few black gems for interest and an orange button to the bottom flourish (Hero Arts). I think the bottom flourish represents the lower portion of the inspiration photo fairly well, along with the addition of my button!

I've mentioned before that our neighborhood does the "You've Been Booed" activity for Halloween. I think this pretty little bag will be perfect to leave at the door of one of our couples who's kids have grown or those who have no children.

cccb #172 ~Blessings!

Happy Friday!! I took a little break in my house cleaning today to make a card for the City Crafter challenge. This is another new one for me. My sweet friend Sue Lelli is guesting over there, so I'm playing in honor of her! I've been making several CAS cards and cards that are a bit different from my usual style. So today I went back to my sweet little clusters of pretties and one of my favorite label die cuts!

I really am in love with this card! Those gingham flowers haven stolen my heart, aren't they sweet!! I bought a package of them at the convention this past spring. The last one, gosh I need to find more but they had no name on them. Just a little package of a few pink and a few green blooms. I paired them up with some vintage cream felt flowers from PTI and this pretty Webster's Pages papers. The die cut label is MFT and I've added my pretty IO sentiment to it with Memento rose bud ink. My ink pad is kind of juicy so it didn't make the best impression on my PR stitched border along the top. Of course it was the last thing I added to the card ~ drat!

Okay kids I'm off to clean downstairs now!
