CAS Christmas ~ Joy

Hey there! It's my turn to host over at CAS Christmas and I've picked the theme of WOODLAND CRITTERS. I hope you'll break out those cute little animals and come play along with us. You have the whole month of September to get crafty! I knew just the cutie little critter I wanted to use. Take a look...

Sweet little Birch by Purple Onion Design was my critter of choice. I love this little fella! He's just the cutest wee rabbit in his striped stocking cap. After some Copic coloring and fussy cutting, I put him in a CAS scene with a couple of retired Poppystamps Dimpled Trees. This older sentiment from PPP worked perfectly as a place to stand or ground Birch. A trio of wintery snowflakes and it was good to go.

We do hope you'll join us this month. Just remember to use a woodland critter and keep your design clean and simple. Thanks for spending a bit of your day with me... and Birch!

I Believe in You

I couldn't let the 800th challenge at The Paper Players get by me without playing along! I wasn't even blogging yet when they had their first challenge, but I've played along many times over the years! This one's for you ladies along with a big congratulations!

I pulled out some of my oldest patterned papers for this one. The scalloped square is a PPP tag with the tab tucked behind the scalloped rectangle piece. The rectangle was cut with a PPP border then inked on the edges for a bit of distressing. I topped these with some retired Poppystamps polka dot geraniums. A couple of Martha Stewart punched butterflies with their little wings inked are fluttering about. Finally, an encouraging sentiment by Altenew.

Off we go to the gallery. Thanks for visiting!

Just Us Girls #836 ~ I sea it's your birthday

Ooops, I forgot to get my post ready to publish this morning! It's WORD WEEK at Just Us Girls. Bobby is our hostess looking for WATER on your crafty makes. Here's what I have to share.

I had this little die cut whale from PPP in my snippets. He's added to a stenciled (PPP) background of water then popped onto a large SSS Scalloped Arch. Those gray polka dot were meant to go with this happy fella!

What does the word water mean to you? I look forward to your take in our gallery this week!

Thinking of You

Dang... it's been HOT as HOT can be around here all week. Storms yesterday evening and this morning too. Time to stay in and get inky! That's just what I did and I created this little number for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I used a delicate leafy rubber stamp by IO for the two tall rectangles in the sketch. A scrap of patterned paper for the horizontal rectangle and retired Poppystamps geraniums for the circle portion. I topped those blooms with a sweet hummingbird by PPP. I colored him to match the little ruby throated fella that has been frequenting our feeder.

Off we go to the FMS gallery.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Just Us Girls #828 ~ Wishing you the best day

If you're a flower lover, this week's challenge at Just Us Girls is for you! Denise has given us a pretty Mood Board with a great mix of blooms and colors. I picked a few of the colors and whipped up this little number for you.

I used the pretty Be Fearless press plate, stencil and die set by Pinkfresh Studio. I created a wreath of sorts with a PPP Scallop circle die to arrange the blooms on. A PPP label die holds my sentiment. Everything was popped onto a floral embossed panel sent to me by my sweet friend, Greta.

This gallery is sure to be a pretty one, hope your card is in it!

**EDIT**

Just saw this works for the new Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

Floral, Pink, Birthday or Floral, Dry Embossing, Summer.

Off she goes to the gallery!

Just Us Girls #826 ~ Wishing you...

Hi there! We're happy to have a new guest designer joining us for the month of June at Just Us Girls. Welcome Kellianne! Carol is looking for BUTTERFLY DIES this week. I had several to choose from but finally decided on this little cutie from The Stamp Market.

After pulling some patterned paper from my stash, I cut two strips with a PPP border die. They went onto the horizontal card base followed by a sentiment from The Rubber Cottage. The sweet polka dot butterfly was adhered next and I gave her a little pearl head. Cute, huh!

Okay, what butterfly will you pick out to use?

When you decide, be sure it flutters into our gallery!

Just Us Girls #822 ~ Oh Happy Day

Hello friends! We have a new Design Team Member joining us at Just Us Girls! Please stop by to hello to Denise Morgans. Welcome to the team, Denise! We also have our guest designer for the month of May joining us today. Welcome to you as well, Kerry

Okay, it's DIE week and Vicki has picked SENTIMENT. That should be an easy one for you. Lets get to it!

I decided on my 'Oh Happy Day' sentiment by The Stamp Market. It was stamped with Pure Poppy ink and then die cut. I kept things simple using some patterned paper cut with a PPP border die. I popped it onto a card base embossed with my newest SSS Leaf Spin folder.

Easy peasy! Okay, it's your turn. We look forward to seeing your card in our JUGs gallery!

Easter Blessings

WOWEE did the wind ever BLOW here yesterday! We heard sirens all day long. Luckily we never lost power. Lots of debris on the roads. March sure has been a crazy month for weather around here. You just never know what you're going to wake up to!

Anywho... how about a card? I have one for Freshly Made Sketches where my sweet friend Michele has given us a fun sketch to use this week.

I inked up the ever so sweet Rejoice Rabbit by Waffle Flower. I thought about using the entire image, but it seemed too large for Michele's sketch. So I used just her pretty little head! She's framed with a scalloped oval by PPP. The leafy sprigs I tucked in where cut using a die from The Stamp Market. Finally, little embossed spring buds for the background.

Off we go to the gallery. Have a great weekend!

Just Us Girls #813 ~ Good Luck!

Hey there! I'm back today with a card for our Just Us Girls challenge. Sue is kicking off the month of March as our hostess for DIE WEEK and we have Milla joining us as our guest designer! I made a fun shaker card. I think we'll give this one to Sweet P to wish her luck on the chess tournament she has coming up next week!

I used a pretty Rounded Rectangle Frame by The Stamp Market to create the shaker. All of the pieces where cut from green cardstock and kept intact. It's backed with PP and filled with sequins and confetti from Pretty Pink Posh. My shamrock was made from Poppystamps hearts and a swirl for the stem. A DeNami sentiment was stamped on a PPP tag and everything popped onto a sweet embossed panel.

There you go! We hope you'll join us for our challenge this week. There's more inspiration waiting for you on the Just Us Girls blog!

*EDIT* it just dawned on me that this works for the Color Hues challenge! I'll be adding this to their gallery.

Just Us Girls #810

Hey there, it's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls! Carol has picked VALENTINE for our word week challenge. I'm sharing the card I made for our little Valentine!

I've had this scalloped card base in my stash for years. It's topped with a favorite October Afternoon paper. I popped a sweet panda from The Stamp Market into a PPP photo frame then added the sentiments (also TSM). Sweet, just like our girl!

It's been a rough start to our year. My mom had a fall on Feb. 2nd, broke her right wrist in two places and has a compression fracture of the L3/L4 vertebrae. They admitted her to the hospital after spending 23 hours in the ER waiting for a bed. They admitted her to be sure her spine was ok, and it is. While there she went into A-Fib, something she's dealt with for years. This time her heart wouldn't go back in rhythm so they did a cardioversion ~ shocked it back in rhythm. She went home on the 10th and was back in the ER on the morning of the 11th in A-Fib again. Admitted her once again.

On top of that, the hospital had a water-main break inside and outside! It flooded their basement and the elevators. Visitation was shut down for 5 days. Thankfully it's open and we can get in to see her today.

Prayers would be greatly appreciated, my friends. Thanks for popping in. Visiting your blogs has been a nice diversion for me.

Signs of Winter!

Brrrr.... is it cold in your neck of the woods? It sure is here. It's was a crazy morning weather-wise too. One minute there were white out conditions, the next the sun was shining, then more snow! And now... WIND! Seemed like the perfect time to take advantage of Joanne's CAS Signs of Winter Card Challenge at The Paper Players.

I brought my sweet Impression Obsession Snow Baby out to play today. Copic colored and added to my favorite PPP tag die. I added a large DeNami snowflake to the background that was paired with a smaller Hero Arts image. No sentiment. I'll add it when I decide what to use this one for.

Off we go to the gallery. Stay warm!

Thanks!

My crafty nook has been cleaned up and the Christmas decorations have been taken down and tucked away. Time to relax! I did just that by making a cute little thank you card for Sweet P.  The colors and fun photo over at Inspire Bwere just what I needed to get those creative juices flowing again!

Using the colors from the photo, I cut my Poppystamps Nordic Chilly Snowman and dressed her in some PTI papers. My PPP stitched square was stamped with an old Hero Arts snowflake and heat embossed. These went onto the embossed (SSS) card base with a couple of cute trees that were a free gift from The Stamp Market

Without realizing it during the process, I used the offered sketch from Inspired By too!

That's it from me today, my friends.
I'll be back tomorrow with a new Poppystamps post for you!
Thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designing With Color Hues!

Hello and Happy New Year! I'm tickled pink to be starting the new year off as a guest designer with the team at The Color Hues Challenge! Take a look at this terrific color combo.

I pulled out a new set I treated myself to during all of those Black Friday sales and paired with a cutie little Simply Graphic image. I think they worked great together. Take a look...

Aren't the flowers from the PTI Wild Blooms stencil set a perfect match for this SG Say Cheese image? The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped several times onto gray cardstock to create the background. My focal image was colored with Copics. I used a glittery gelly roll pen on the camera lens and buttons. Everything went onto the stenciled card base and was topped off with a little sparkling clear confetti from PPP.

I'm on my way over to The Color Hues blog to see what the team has created. Why don't you join me and then you can create something to play along!

Peace, Love & Joy

It's me again! Popping in for a quick minute tonight with a card I made for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge and for The Flower Challenge.

You know, I had every intention of using an ornament as my focal. But when I went to my Christmas dies, I found this gorgeous Altenew poinsettia that I completely forgot I had! It's a Christmas floral, so it was meant to be! She's cut from a shimmery pink cardstock, popped onto and embossed panel (SSS) and topped with sparkly rhinestones. The little banner is PPP with a PTI sentiment. Phew, lots of companies, but they all play well together!

Thanks so much for stopping by again. Have a blessed week, friends!

Enjoy the Beauty of the Season

Hello there! It's been a minute and my mojo has been seriously lacking. What a year this has been. We started with my dad's health issues and are finishing with Covid issue. I mentioned here earlier that our son tested positive just after Thanksgiving. Two days later our daughter-in-law tested positive and yes... three days later Sweet P. Thankfully her symptoms are like a mild cold, just a bit stuffy. Not so much for the other two! Thankfully we've been testing negative. Phew, I sure hope 2026 treats us better!

On a happier note, check out this little cutie I whipped up for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I saw Jaydee's new challenge at The Paper Players this morning and it fits in there too. So, here we go!

A white embossed background topped with Pinkfresh Winterberries and a Pretty Pink Posh reindeer and tag. I used the TTT middle line of White, Free and Square. The tag and gift are square!  I think this little gift bearing cutie will be right at home in The Paper Players gallery too

That's it from me today.
I hope you're enjoying a relaxing Sunday... we are!

Happy Holidays

Hey there! I have a cute bright and happy holiday card to share today. This one is headed to the Inkspirational challenge. They're looking for Knit/Knitted items.

I think sweet little Birch's (POD) hat qualifies. But just in case, I stenciled a TE knit background too! I cut Birch out using a MFT Stitched Circle die then popped him onto an old PTI Mat Stack die. I thought topping it with this big glitzy bow made it look like an ornament! A sprinkling of PPP tiny stars and a gold embossed sentiment from one of their older sets adds more holiday pizazz. Everything went onto a base made from Poppystamps Pool Party cardstock.

Speaking of Poppystamps cardstock, have you checked it out? Not only does it work beautifully for your die cuts, but the weight is perfect for a nice sturdy card base!

Okay, back to the couch for me. I've got a cold with a no fun cough attached. The hubs has taken charge and ordered me to go rest!

Just Us Girls #799 ~ Merry Christmas

Hello, friends! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. This is an easy one, CASE any member of the design team! Pop over to the blog, check out the cards and then have fun. Speaking of fun, check out this cool dude on my card!

Isn't he a cutie! He's from Lasting Impressions. I fussy cut him and popped him onto the WF snowflake background. I used a retired Poppystamps Scalloped Frame and a few PPP snowflakes. A simple sentiment by MB and a few rhinestones finished things off.

How about a bonus card today?

The sheet from Lasting Impressions has more than one bear on it. I used the smaller pair on this version and just switched up the background and frame (RC). More PPP snowflakes and another MB sentiment worked here too!

We do hope you'll play along this week at Just Us Girls.

If you're chosen as our winner, you have a chance to guest design with us!

Just Us Girls #798 ~ Happy Holidays

It's stencil week at Just Us Girls and we hope you'll join us! Thanks so much to our guest designer, Greta Hess for spending the month of October with us! I have a bright and cheerful holiday card to share with you. This went together in a snap.

Take a look...

I used the pretty Waffle Flower Folk Art Frame stencil and die set. After die cutting the frame, I added it to a Bazzill Flamingo card base. Isn't that little bit of texture wonderful? The sentiment, by PPP was stamped then die cut with the little swag and rhinestones added.

Alrighty, it's your turn now.

What stencil will you pick out to share with us?

Just Us Girls #797 ~ Fall reminds me

Carol has a cute autumn Mood Board for us at Just Us Girls.

There are so many options to choose from!

Here's a close up for you.

I picked a couple of items and created this CAS card for your inspiration.

Truth be told, I already had this panel stamped with the wheat that I hadn't used last year. I was determined to use it up! The wheat (Magenta, I think!) was colored with Copic makers. A lovely sentiment from a mini PTI set and a couple of PPP die cut leaves was all it needed. Easy peasy!

I can't wait to see how this Mood Board inspires you.

It's sure to be a warm and cozy gallery!

Just Us Girls #795 ~ A Harvest of Blessings

Hello and welcome! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. It's also a new month and that brings with is a new Guest Designer. I'm very happy to have a dear blogging friend of mine joining us for the month of October. Please give a big warm welcome to the talented Greta Hess

When Bobby picked the word LEAVES for us, I knew just the leaves I would use. This Pinkfresh set became a favorite the first time I used it last year. Cutting them from polka dot paper makes them even better! I popped two sprays onto a layered pair of SB label dies. I've had those dies for an eternity. Isn't the embossed edge nifty? My sentiment (MFT) was heat embossed on vellum. A couple of glue dots was all it needed and they're hidden with gold confetti pieces from PPP. Easy peasy!

Your turn now.

What kind of leaves will you let fall into our gallery?
