Why is it that winter lasts forever and summer zooms by at the speed of light? I can't believe it's the last day of July already! But, with that thought in mind, you know it means it's 12 Kits of Occasions time right? Right!

Marybeth is our hostess this month. Her {Best Summer Ever} kit was full of everything bright, happy and summery. I made three floral cards. There were four, but... well... we won't go there!

I thought my doily embossing folder (Maggie Holmes) went well with this cute mason jar.

Adding the gingham paper to the back of my shaker on an angle seemed like a fun idea. But it sure made getting all of the layers straight a little tricky. I can't tell you how many times I measured and remeasured. My eyes were going bonkers!!

I jumped way out of the box for this one. But you know, I like the way it turned out!

I'm happy you stopped by today. I'm sure my teammates would enjoy your visit too!

Lisa, can I tell you I am crushing on all of your cards? Well who wouldn't?! Your dry embossed backgrounds keep a clean, fresh look, but fully enhance your jar of flowers on your first card and the divided flower and sentiment on your third card! I feel your pain with the optical illusion of that tilted gingham, but the end result is perfect! I think that speech bubble coming from the flower is just precious! So fun to see your cards today, Lisa!

What stunning creations!! I love the layered frames on that amazing shaker, and your embossed backgrounds on the other two cards. I like how you cut apart the flower on the last card and placed the sentiment in the middle. SO CLEVER!!!

Well Lisa all that measuring paid of because the gingham looks so pretty on a bit of an angle , what a lovely card! The split Concord & 9th card is so pretty and I love the embossed background ! Hard to believe July will be over today. Now's the time I start looking forward to the cooler temperatures of fall. Happy August !

Oh, I love your embossed backgrounds! Done in white they add just the right amount of texture and still keep the main image the focus. Fabulous idea to insert the sentiment in your bright flower. And the layering with the gingham makes such a lovely card. The speech bubble with your sentiment is a charming touch!

I'm always excited to see what you will do with our kits. The embossing you added this time just ups the WOW factor. The doilies behind the mason jar is eye candy. The layered shaker is so clean and gorgeous! Love the crisp clean lines.. and so clever to split that big fuchsia flower!

I couldn't agree more about how fast summer zooms by! But I'm glad you were able to extend summer a bit with these cards! I love the bright and vibrant colors. And the card where you split the flower to show off the sentiment is genius! Sometimes going outside the box is a lot of fun!

I love all of your beautiful cards Lisa! The doily background on the mason jar card is so sweet, and filled with those blooms... the mason jar is perfect! I love your clever idea of putting the sentiment in the middle of the split flower. Pure genius! I would never have thought of that. The tipped plaid dp behind the flowers makes me think of having a picnic in a field of flowers and I just love that you turned it into a shaker card. I'd say you rocked Marybeth's fun kit this month!
