Well hello there! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just lacking in crafty mojo and taking advantage of warm summer days. I've jumped back in head first with two masculine nautical cards for Darnell's Twofer Card Challenge.
First up is a ship in a bottle! I've had both the bottle (Just for Fun) and the ship ('A La Art) forever and love pairing them together.
I used some cute embossed anchors as a backing for the ship on this one. The compass and swirl images are by DeNami Design and the sentiment is PRS.
I'm on the fence about these, but I hope you like them!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

On what fence? The fence you stand on with your arms in the air and a big smile on your face denoting how much you love what you've just designed? Well, good, because that's the fence you should be standing on! I love these, Lisa! If you hadn't said, I would have sworn that bottle and ship were all one stamp! It's awesome that you figured that out and I love the added details of the striped pp, the angles die and sediment, and the fabulous cork punctuation on your birthday design!
Your second design is also superb! Ships do seem to want to be viewed through porthole like apertures, don't they? I love the wide anchor-embossed framing and red, white, and blue color! And great job adding flourishes and that sweet little compass punctuation to this design! Thank you so much for jumping back in head first (great water pun!) to play in Twofer Card Challenge #19! Hugs, Darnell
Oh wow--I see another win in your future! Absolutely fabulous--so creative, Lisa!
Leave those fences to Tom Sawyer references, Lisa... they are both just shipshape to me!! Those darling corks are the winning touch!! I'm going down to the beach and hope that one washes up on shore!! wink!
OH do I love the windy flourishes on card two... just fantastic cards!
=]
Oh, I do--I really love them! You shouldn't be on the fence at all! Both are so amazing with absolutely fabulous details! Love those little cork accents. And everything on the second card is perfection!
What's NOT to love? The pairing of two different stamps is great, and those cork "buttons" are to die for! Great cards, Lisa
These are two wonderful, masculine cards, Lisa! I love that you paired that ship with the bottle and your edging points the way to the sentiment (sometimes guys need these things to be pointed out). Those tiny embossed anchors are so cute and perfect for your nautical journey card. The red in the compass and sentiment are a great addition to the blue and white! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Great masculine cards - love the nautical theme of both. The embossed anchors are a nice touch. Well done for the challenge~
Two absolutely gorgeous vintage, masculine cards Lisa! Love them both!
What a cool, stylish twofer, Lisa! Putting the ship in the bottle on your birthday card was a brilliant, clever idea ... and your soft colouring on it is lovely! The cork embellishments add such a yummy, texture to your design! Love the swirly wind surrounding the red, white and blue porthole scene ... the anchors and the compass are perfect additions to this masculine card! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
Two really cool cards Lisa!! I love the ship in a bottle card...it's perfection with all your added little details! And your 2nd card is just as wonderful as the first and I'm totally loving that blue ring that's embossed with the anchors around the ship...fabulous design!! Two wonderful, wonderful cards my friend!! :0)
really fabulous set of masculine cards, lisa! couldn't tell your mojo has been missing!
I adore how you used that stamp!!! The first card with the kraft is so cute. I LOVE your use of the cork!! The second card with the image in the center and the fun embossed anchors is adorable. GREAT take on this challenge!!
These are both so fabulous Lisa!! I love that cool stamp!
I'm loving the nautical theme! And the ship in the bottle is so fun! And I love that you used some cork accents!

Oh Lisa! These are beautiful! I love their nautical themes! Totally know what you mean about Summertime mojo blues...Our season is so short that a single day must not be taken for granted. Thankfully we get a heap of thunderstorms, making crafting a cozy way to wait them out :) Enjoy the warm days, sweet friend!
The DT agreed with me--congrats on the win, Lisa!
