Love Comforteth...

Hey there! I'm sharing my card entry for The Card Concept today. They have a lovely inspiration photo for Mother's Day.

What's more comforting than a mother's love?  I've been doing the grocery shopping for my parents while they shelter at home. It's one way I can keep them safe. When I rang the doorbell the other day for their drop off, my mom came to the door and said "How's my hero today? You are my hero you know." Oh my goodness, my mom is so precious to me... my dad too of course. To know I can take care of them like this right now brings comfort to me during these difficult times. Their love and gratitude warms my heart. I thank God for them everyday.

I went with a clean and layered card using PTI's Meadow Greens. I layered both stamped and die cut images from the set. The center of the card was masked off before stamping to add interest to my design and leave an area for the sentiment. I like the clean lines the ME mats add to a card. You probably know that though, I use them a lot! A sprinkling of pearls added a touch of elegance. Wait a second... this might fall into the classy and elegant category too, right?

Be well friends, and stay safe.

Beautifully classy & elegant, Lisa! Love that set, but have trouble using it. The soft colors are so pretty & I love your design! So wonderful you're close by & can help make sure your folks stay isolated. What a reunion you'll have when you can once again give them hugs!

You ARE a hero to them, Lisa, imagine the peace of mind they have knowing they don't have to be exposed at the stores! My sister is doing the same for our Mom too, and it's a comfort to me to know that she doesn't have to go out of the house.

Your card is really lovely, the softness is beautiful!

Just gorgeous! The beautiful pastel colors you used complement these images perfectly! How sweet that you can still help your parents out...and that they appreciate you! We want to keep all our seniors healthy! Thanks for playing with The Card Concept this week, too!

Yep, definitely classy and elegant too Lisa! I haven't used pearls in forever and just used some on a card today, so that made me kind of chuckle to think we were on the same wavelength! Your card is absolutely GORGEOUS and the Meadow Greens set is still one of my all time favorites from PTI! Your mom is going to LOVE this Lisa and how wonderful that you're able to take care of some of the things like grocery shopping for them so they can stay home and safe. My mom is so adamant about doing her own shopping and it just drives me nuts how stubborn she is! She is letting me supply her with books and puzzles though to keep her busy. You take care and stay safe too! Hugs. :0)

This is one of my oldest and most loved stamp sets, Lisa, and I have never thought to stamp it in those colors. It is absolutely gorgeous in those pastels. So you. You are such a blessing to your parents.

This is definitely elegant and classy Lisa. I loved hearing your mom's comment about you and the love you share. I miss my mom so much. Mother's day is especially hard since she passed only two days after mother's day, five years ago. Give your mom an extra hug when you can.
