To Brighten Your Day
Hey there! We have a new challenge for you at Inspired By today, it's called sitting pretty!
Ya know, I had not one single chair, book or pitcher in my stamps or paper stash. So I really had to put my thinking cap on.
I had the shiplap wall covered with some Carta Bella paper. Then I came across the brown woodgrain papers in the same pad. Hmm... the dark lines made me think of the horizontal and diagonal placement of the books on the chairs. My scalloped dies cuts? They're a playful take on the fancy chair backs!
I hope my card brightened your day. Now how about brightening our gallery with your card!

Oh I love how you were inspired! beautiful!
LOL, it seems many of us have no "chair" stamps...I love your take on this! Those sweet little "pockets" are just adorable, and you have the best dies!
I don't think I have any chair stamps either Lisa but I sure like where your mind went with this card...you were definitely thinking outside the box and came up with a totally beautiful card!! Love it!! Hugs. :0)
So so pretty!!
So beautiful Lisa and I love that you did something different for your inspired by design! The patterned paper is so pretty, you don't often see a wood print that is nice and white!
I LOVE how you interpret the challenges, incredible inspiration and such a beautiful card!
Such a pretty card, Lisa. Love your interpretation of that photo.
This is as sweet as it gets....love your wonderful card.
Lisa you showed the rest of blogland how to make lemonade out of lemons - who needs chairs anyway?
LOve the little 'pockets' and how you've continued the leafy branches onto the white with stamping... clever girl!

Beautiful, Lisa! Even more so because you nailed the look even without the elements like chairs and books and such! Congratulations on your latest design team position! It's such a perfect match! You are so thoughtful in looking at all the ins and outs of an inspiration piece!
How FUN is this card? I LOVE the use of the edged die, the little wood "pockets" and the stamping. Your layering on this card is FANTASTIC!!! LOVE!
Fun inspired card!
WONDERFUL card, Lisa, I'm loving the masculine ship-lap and woodgrain and then those polar opposite feminine items -- scallops flowers! They all play beautifully together
Yep, it did brighten my already bright day, Lisa ... and it's charming! Such a lovely contrast between the lines of the shiplap and the soft curves of the flowers and scallops! Hugs, Anita :)
You may not have had books or a chair stamp but you had fabulous inspiration and put it to good use! Beautiful!
Very creative use of the photo, Lisa! Your card is beautiful--love the woodgrain paper & scallops!
This is just gorgeous Lisa! I love the wood grain paper combined with the pretty florals!
This is so cute, Lisa, and I like how you explained your reason for using the various papers and shapes. It helps us literal people see things differently.
