A little note

I'm playing along for the first time with the Cupcake Inspirations challenge. Their theme is {Oh Birdie}. I can do that!

We have a family of ruby-throated hummingbirds who visit our feeder daily. The mama is green and white, daddy is darker with a ruby throat. There's a smaller green female as well and a small male who still has a lot of green with his ruby throat, but he's getting darker.

I've used PPP hummingbird stamps and dies along with a ME flower die. I've taken some artistic license in the lighter shade of green I've used. The super cute embossed panel was a gift from my friend Michele. Thanks again, Michele! It was the perfect backdrop for my hummers. We love watching ours visit!

Off they fly to the gallery!

Thanks for stopping by.

Marisela Delgado said: Hi, Lisa! Such a sweet card. Yes, that background embossing is perfect. Have you ever seen Greenjays? They look exactly like Bluejays except they're green. I don't know if they are in other parts of the country, but they can be found along the Texas/Mexico border. They're beautiful. ☺ Lisa, I'm still receiving blog posts from your former blog. There is no way to edit my subscription so I don't know. It's okay. I can handle a double dose of your sweet cards. Warm hugs, Mari

What a neat embossed panel & the hummers are colored beautifully, Lisa! Only saw 1 when I again tried putting up a feeder. I do sometimes see them when we walk & occasionally they fly through our backyard. One checked out the yellow jacket trap a few days ago & today one flew right past me as I sat in a chair near the roses. Started for the rose in bloom & realized it wasn't what he wanted. Your family would be such fun to watch!

So cute, Lisa, and how great to have a family of hummers to watch. I have one or two come to my feeder periodically and I hung a fuchsia to attract them.
