Let the decorating begin!

Have you got the Christmas spirit?  I always give Thanksgiving it's due. The warm autumn decorations, Thanksgiving dinner with all of the trimmings shared with family, a long weekend spent snuggling in with my best guy enjoying those leftovers and reflecting on what we have to be thankful for. Then I begin decorating for Christmas. That's my goal this week. My hubby calls it the changing of the guard ~ HA! Every time I change my seasonal decorations that phrase comes out, he's such a goober!

Let's start off this week with a Christmas card using some of my favorites. Kraft, red and white! There is a green tree in this one because it's such a cute one and because there's a sweet little green tree in the Just Us Girls challenge photo.

I focused on all of the kraft shopping bags from the photo surrounded with the wonderful white kitchen elements. Do you spot the red gingham and the sweet little tree?  My tree is from the PIT Holiday Folk set. Aren't those tiny ornaments cute? Lots of clean layers on this one. I like the way it turned out!

Ok, I'm off to put on the Christmas music and decorate!
Last night's fresh snowfall has amped up the mood!

You should like it, Lisa! It's adorable! I'd love to see your lovely home all decked out for Christmas! Too bad we live in the land of snow, right?
A wonderful little tree, perfect for your wonderful Christmas card!

Very nice, Lisa! You're way ahead of me with your Christmas decorating - I don't usually get into the spirit until about the 10th or 12th of December. I'm still enjoying the Thanksgiving decorations! xoxo Fran

This is adorable, Lisa. I love all the layers and textures. I've been decorating the last few days. Only the tree left to go. I'm in the mood without the snow. You keep it over there. ;)

Adorable! Lovely layers, and great use of the inspiration -- I did have to zoom in to find the gingham and tree... And yes those ornaments are just the sweetest little mini ones.

Jealousy is not becoming, but I sure wish I had some of your snow!

Super sweet card, Lisa! Love how you put those beautiful layers together! I'm slowly getting decorations up. Naturally one lighted swag wouldn't light, so had to stop & go get a new strand. Maybe tomorrow I'll finish.

Lisa, I really love your little tree and tag on your card. The way you incorporated the stars on top and behind was super fun too! You did such a great job with the photo inspiration at Just Us Girls, thanks for playing!

I wish I could find this set - looked everywhere as your wonderful creations have made me wish I bought it back in the way back! I love all of the texture in the plaid, the stars and the stitches... and then this simple, wonderful folksy tree and those tiny ornaments taking center stage. I just love it!
