Inspired By #198~ Holiday/Winter Beauty

Oh my, this is a frosty looking photo! Beautiful, but frosty! This is just one of your options for Inspired By this week and the one I chose for my card.

I used this wonderful PTI snowflake die to cute a piece of aqua blue vellum. I have no clue where I picked up that vellum, but I like it! Then I cut a shaker window to recreate those frosty bits that magnificent snowflake is resting upon. A little more sparkle and a simple sentiment (PTI) finished things off. It's also a loose interpretation of our sketch, shifted to the middle!

Still need Christmas cards for this year or maybe you've finished and would like to get ready for next year? Either way, we would be happy to have you play along. After all, you inspire us too!

My mother used to go home to Mexico to visit and would buy me yards of vellum for cheap. (Three yards for $1.39) In Mexico, they have stores called "papelerias" ("papel" means paper) so it's a paper store, if you will. You buy craft and school supplies there. Girl, they had gigantic rolls of vellum including colored vellum. She brought me pink vellum once and I almost peed my pants. Sadly, crime, violence, and police corruption (and now Covid) make it impossible for her to visit. Girl, but I sure wish I could make a shopping visit to Mexico....with an 18 wheeler to load up. haha haha ☺☺☺ Beautiful card, my friend. ☺ Mari

This is so gorgeous, Lisa! I love the snowy shaker, and the soft blues are fabulous in this wonderful design. How fortunate that you had the blue vellum, as it is PERFECT for that beautiful snowflake.
