Guesting at The Flower Challenge!

Hello friends! I'm guesting with the lovely ladies at The Flower Challenge this month... what a treat! They're kicking of the new year with a monochrome theme.

I don't think I've ever done a monochromatic card before, so this was an adventure! As my thoughts mulled over different color palettes I kept coming back to the idea of soft gray. Maybe it's winter brain!

PTI's soft stone paper and ink were my jumping off points. I inked up blooms from Altenew's Beautiful Day set. Double stamping gave me a medium gray while Altenew's Evening Gray ink provided the darkest shade. I treated myself to Pink Fresh Studio's Folk Edge Rectangles for Christmas. I love the way it framed my florals! This panel was popped up with a foam backing. To brighten up the grays, I added some champagne rhinestones.

Thank you ever so much for having me as your guest, Viv! Now I'm off to see what the incredibly talented design team has to share. I hope you'll join me and then play along!

I seem to be doing a lot of monochromatic cards which probably means I have trouble putting colors together--haha! Anyway, I haven't done one in grays, but you've inspired me, Lisa! This is a beauty! Congrats on being the GD!

Absolutely fabulous! This stamp set my all time favorite. It is so timeless. I love how you created a monochromatic card with this stamp. So far I had only seen a very colorful approach to this stamp set. I love everything about your card.

You're just guesting all over the place, Lisa. I'm glad to have you as part of our Flower team this month. I did these same flowers in gray but never posted them and I just happened to be looking for them today. Couldn't find them anywhere. I know I saw them yesterday as I was going through half finished things. You did a great job with the shading on your card and the rhinestones add wonderful sparkle.
