Grateful

Hey there, it's time for a new Just Us Girls challenge! Vicki is our hostess for word week and she picked Flowers (see what I did there ~ hee!) We also have a guest designer joining us this month! Please stop by and say hello to Deborah Wheeler!

Flowers... so many choices!

I recently bought this Hollyhocks die (Impression Obsession) and it turned out to be a marvelous filler for my pretty  flower wrap (Simply Graphic)! They were die cut them from colored cardstock then a little Copic coloring was added to the centers. It needed just a touch more some something, so I tucked in a small scallop border. Voila, I love it!

Our gallery is sure to be a beautiful flower garden this week. I hope to see some blooms of yours included!

Lisa, your hollyhocks are adorable and so pretty how you colored them. That background made a nice place for your bouquet to sit too! Love this card!

Marisela Delgado said: Hello, my friend, Lisa! What a beautiful card! I just had a conversation with Laura Bassen about the "flower wrap." She was making a card with one and asked if anyone knew what it's called. It's called a tussie-mussie. It may have had a special meaning back in the Victorian era because it's an interesting name. Home Depot even offered a class on how to make one. Fun fact. haha haha I hope your Mother's Day was nice. I didn't have internet so I wasn't able to tell you sooner. ☺☺ Hugs! Mari

Lisa, This is my favorite card of the lineup! Love the colors, and the extra feminine touches. It is always fun seeing where your creativity takes you each week, it’s always a surprise. Unlike me, very predictable.
