Break out those inks to smoosh, brads, buttons, brayers... all of those old school ideas, techniques and embellishments! We're going old school at Poppystamps this month!
I had a panel I had smooshed some inks onto for another project. It was set aside for future use. As it turns out, it had just the fall colors I needed for today's card.
The panel was die cut using the lovely Leafy Branch Oval. I popped it onto the equally lovely Harvest Oval Frame with a little aqua cardstock and polka dot vellum added to the mix. Everything went onto an apricot card base. I topped it off with a foiled sentiment that I attached with a brad. Gosh, I haven't used a brad in years!!
I am in love with the way this card turned out! That polka dot vellum gets me every time!

So pretty, and perfectly Autumn! Such a gorgeous cover die, too! Add it to our stack!
Brads were a little bit ahead of my time as a card maker, but I think there were some in a little kit of embellishments I once bought! hmmm where did I stow that?
=]
That framing die is lovely as is your card!
The background panel is the perfect colour for autumn, so great choice. The dies are beautiful. Fabulous fall card.
wow this is such a stunning card.. I love everything about it..
Oooh, I love it, too! The colors, the dies, and that sweet little brad... I have a ridiculous lot of brads I'm still hanging onto. The smooshed panel made for perfect branches, and when it comes to vellum it might as well be polka dot! Cute, Lisa!
Those leafy ovals are perfect for autumn cards, Lisa, and yours is soft and pretty.
Perfect for fall, Lisa! Love how you combined those die cuts!!
This is so pretty Lisa and definitely says Autumn with the beautiful colors! I love that bit of polka dotted vellum too...the cherry on top! And of course the lovely oval and leaf die cut...BEAUTIFUL!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

There are so many things I love about this card, Lisa. I have the leafy oval and haven't used it. I am duly inspired. The smooshing looks wonderful juxtaposed with the white leafy frame. The vellum is delicious and the brad! I have a million of them large, small, and in many colors. What. fun challenge. am inspired to play!
