Merry & Birght

My entry for Color Hues has been in pieces on my desk for a few days. I kept getting interrupted with one thing or another, you know just general life stuff! I haven't had a good long crafty session in a while and those Christmas cards aren't going to make themselves! So here we go, light blue and purple.

I had a cute snippet of blue snowflake paper just perfect for my MB ornament. I attached the ornament to the pretty Snowflake Loop from Poppystamps using white thread and hid the knot with a ME bow. It looked a little lonely, so I topped it with a big snowflake! Simple white embossed trees (SSS) provided my background.

I had just enough of that snowflake paper for another ornament, so I made another card! This one has SSS embossed snowflakes dancing around in the background.

Do you have a favorite? My in house critic said he likes the trees the best. Off it goes to the gallery!

They're both pretty Lisa, but I do love that tree embossing. Glad you found some time to sneak these cards in during the approaching busy season.

So dainty and pretty!

I do love the trees but maybe the snowflakes coordinate better with the die cut one?? Both cards are lovely Lisa, with that delicate snowflake loop! Julia xx

That big snowflake adds the perfect touch, Lisa - love the purple with blue!!

That snowflake loop looks like an ornament on its own, Lisa. So an ornament within an ornament, as lovely as can be.

What an elegant and dainty creation Lisa! The addition of the snowflake on the ornament was a brilliant choice, it just finishes everything off so perfectly! Thank you for joining us at Color Hues!

Gosh, I love both. What beautiful dies and embossing, and love the colors together. How to pick a favorite? Sheesh, forget about it. I do love the embossed snowflake background, but I'm a nut for trees, too.

What a gorgeous card, Lisa. I love the dainty Christmas ornament and the way you framed it with that unique and pretty die. That tiny bow would have a permanent spot on my desk as you could use it for just about anything. Thanks for playing at Color Hues, I really appreciate it!

I really hate to disagree with your 'in house critic' but it's the snowflakes for me! Once again, I think purple snow is a great idea!
Both beautiful, Lisa - sorry I'm late! My delivery system seems to be on the fritz again!

So pretty, Lisa. Love these colours for a non-traditional colour Christmas card.

Both so pretty! Think my favorite is the 2nd one with the snowflake background.

This is so pretty Lisa! I love the delicate ornament and I have to admit, I like the tree background best too. It's the subtly of it I think. Thanks so much for playing with us at the Color Hue challenge blog!
