A Valentine for Sweet P

When I saw the quilt challenge over at Inkspirational, an idea popped into my head. I turned that idea into a Valentine for our Sweet P. Take a look...

I had a few bits and pieces from one of my all time favorite MME 6x6 paper pads left. After trimming to size, I pieced them together to form my quilt. Next, I used the largest of my Poppystamps Scallop Pinpoint Heart dies to cut it out. This went onto a card base embossed with polka dots. A couple of sweet MFT Rolled Roses and Altenew leaves, all cut from felt, along with a trio of buttons adorn the heart. Last, but not least, the Sweet P sentiment (from my Sweet Pea stamp set) went onto a PPP label die cut. I haven't used felt or those rolled roses in ages. Buttons too, for that matter. Sigh... they just never get old!

Wishing you a blessed weekend!

What a darling card for your Sweet P! The quilted heart, personalized tag and felt flowers will warm her heart. Some dies are truly timeless. It's a nice reminder that we don't always have to have all the "new" things to make a beautiful card.

So very sweet, charming, and very feminine, too!
Do you know, I don't think I've ever used that MFT rolled rose die with felt? They are DARLING!

Beautiful. Love how you pieced the pretty papers together and die cut the heart. It looks great on the embossed background. Of course the "Sweet P" sentiment is perfect.

I was immediately drawn to the MFT roses which we both love! They're the best cut from felt and I wish I had family here so I could use them on a card not going in the mail. It crossed my mind to die cut a quilt like you did, but I just went the easy route of using my quilt die. I know Sweet P will love her Valentine!
