The hubs and I have been crazy busy lately with Sweet P's softball (did I mention he's an official coach alongside our son!), transporting my dad to Cardio Rehab, taking care of my parent's other needs and well, just life in general. Today is a free day for us, so I got crafty! I was intrigued by Verena's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Here's what I came up with.
Using a couple of circle dies, I cut a crescent moon from some PP in my stash. This pretty leafy vine by Pinkfresh had just the curve I needed to decorate that moon! I popped on a pretty little bloom by The Stamp Market then stamped and die cut the sentiment. My sweet friend Greta always includeds an embossed panel when she sends me a card. This one seemed to mimic the bloom I used. A sprinkling of dew drops and she's good to go!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Great use of the sketch. I liked that embossed background also.
Pretty take on the sketch.
You're so creative, Lisa! Beautiful printed paper for your moon and the cardstock for that sweet flower is a perfect match! That always gives me trouble when I try to use printed paper. Love the beautiful leafy branch and so glad you could use the embossed panel! You do keep busy, but I know you love being there for your family. Hoping your dad continues improving and that Sweet P has a great season!
This is beautiful! You nailed that challenging crescent! I love the florals you chose, the colors are warm and cozy!
This is such a pretty card Lisa!! I love your dsp moon...never would have thought of doing that! I love the PFS leaves that mimic the crescent shape too! Sweet little bloom and a wonderful embossed background also! Beautiful, beautiful card my friend! You sound as busy as us...I thought things were supposed to slow down when you retired?! Definitely NOT the case here! Hang in there!! Hugs. :0)
Beautiful card Lisa. Love how you actually die cut the moon shape from the pretty pattern paper and then added those lovely leaves and pretty flower, which matches the paper perfectly. Your embossed panel is pretty and does match the bloom perfectly.
You took advantage of that downtime beautifully, Lisa- and I'm so happy that you've joined us at FMS!
I just love your floral waning moon, and every other element seems just 'meant to be!'

Love the embossed BG and how you used the crescent shape as the base of your design! So pretty!
Such a clever & delightful take on the sketch with the blossom added to the crescent, Lisa - love this!!
This is absolutely delightful, Lisa.
Ohhhh, I love your sweet interpretation of the sketch! Your pretty crescent moon of pp, sweet blossom and your lovely embossed texture -- this is perfect, Lisa
Absolutely gorgeous ♥
Lisa what a lovely take on the sketch!
Beautiful! I love your patterned crecent with the pretty flower and the delicate leaves. Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
I think this is one of the prettiest sketches and your card shows it off beautifully! Your flower and designer paper appear to be made for each other. Love the pretty embossing Greta shared with you, too! You have been one busy lady. It's that time of year as well as that time of life!
Beautiful take on the sketch, Lisa! Sounds like you have been very busy. Glad you got time to create.
What a wonderful way to use the sketch! I love your floral moon, the way you adorned it, and that beautiful background. Just lovely!
I can't think of a prettier card option for this sketch. You knocked it out of the park with that printed paper moon and coordinating flower. So glad you found a day to unwind in your craft space.
Beautiful! And congrats on a well-deserved princess pick at FMS! 👏
