Hello Friend

It's word week at Just Us Girls. What does friend bring to mind for you? For me, it brings to mind all of you fabulous card makers that I've met through the blogosphere. A couple of you for reals! So this one is for all of you!

We have oodles of snow. More on top of all we got the last time and it's a balmy 15 degrees. So I was in need of some flowers! This big hydrangea (DeNami) worked well. It was heat embossed in gold then colored in using ink and a water brush. The sentiment (PPP) was cut from patterned paper. A trio of teeny butterflies bring that extra pop of glitz! An easy card that went together quickly.

We look forward to your friend cards in our gallery! Thanks for spending a little of your day with me friends!

This is so pretty, Lisa! We're getting the same exact weather here on the east coast. I'm ready for some pretty spring flowers too. Stay warm, spring is coming!

What a wonderful card, Lisa! This giant gold hydrangea is gorgeous and I love the wee butterflies fluttering around the sentiment. This makes such a lovely take on the "Friends" theme.

This card really is a showstopper, Lisa! I think the soft colors were such a great choice! Try to stay warm, it's a dreary 60 here today and I know I shouldn't be whining...but I don't like it.

Brrr, 15 degrees is just rude! But your sunny, glittery, and pretty hydrangeas are just gorgeous Lisa and a sure way to brighten anyone's day!

Lisa... loving the flowers for your blustery winter. The gold embossing is amazing. I am feeling a bit guilty being down in Florida... but it has been a bit "cold" for us as well.

This is gorgeous, Lisa, and a harbinger of spring. It has been very cold here in NJ, but not a ton of snow. Temps are predicted to be 60 degrees tomorrow then plummeting to teens on Sunday. Your hydrangea is a sight for sore eyes!
