The snow and cold showed up again for our weekend so I snuggled in and made a card or two. This one is for the Color Hues challenge. Stef picked the lovely combination of Lilac and Mint. I never met a lilac I didn't like so I was in!
Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this look like lilacs? I used the Ready to Bloom cover die from The Stamp Market. It was smooshed into some ink then the single blooms were layered onto the panel of those that are connected on the die cut. Mint Julep cardstock from PTI was used for the leaves (TSM) and scalloped panel (ME). The lovely debossed panel is by SSS and my sentiment from Pinkfresh.
All of those companies played so well together!
I hope you're warm and cozy this weekend.
A pot of homemade soup is on my agenda for tomorrow!

I love the beautiful effect the smooshed ink created with those blooms, and your design is wonderful! The debossed background and scalloped mint frame are a great background for those pretty lilacs. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL blooms Lisa, and they really do look like lilacs! (I can't wait for mine to bloom, but that same cold and snow is here too, so I'm afraid it's going to be awhile before I see them!) Smooshing was definitely the way to color these little flowers and the leaves and pinpoint cover plate background is the perfect finishing touch! Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at Color Hues! Hugs. :0)
This is the perfect card for the color challenge. Yes, those flowers definitely look like lilacs the way you have them laid out. Beautiful details with the mottled color and the pierced background.
These are your colors for sure! Pretty card
Wonderful! I just adore the color choices and your blooms definitely look like lilacs to me. Great card, Lisa, stay warm!
No need to correct you, Lisa - these beauties can be any four-petaled bloom your heart desires! Lilacs in these pretty shades of lilac - and the leaves even look like they are perfect!
Such a beautiful way to say you're thinking of someone special!

I'm with you, Lisa - lilac is a divine color and so pretty with mint green!! Love your tumble of flower blossoms!!
Fabulous showing of the colors!
You lovely card is an absolutely pitch perfect take on the color combo, Lisa!
I love the variations of purple you got by smooshing the flowers, Lisa. They really do look like lilac blossoms.
Well, I may not be an expert on flowers but I think when they are made from paper you can call them whatever you want. Such a pretty card and doing the smooshing technigue for the lilacs was a great idea. I love that background too. Thanks for taking the time to play along at Color Hues. I hope Spring comes soon for you!
Yes, they do look like lilac florets and they're beautiful! You could do a lot with those little blossoms. Pretty layers and arrangement here, and so sweet!
My mom always had a gorgeous lilac bush in the back yard and those florals decorated our house as long as the blooms would last. That's what your beautiful card reminded me of, Lisa and I so love the effect of the ink smooshing on all those dainty petals! Thanks so much for joining us at Color Hues!
So beautiful.. love all those purple flowers with the mint in the background..
You made our challenge colors look amazing Lisa! So fresh and lovely! Thanks for playing with us at Color Hues!
You and me both when it comes to lilacs and yes, those flowers look like them--especially the way you gave them color! I pulled out mint julep cardstock for my entry, too. Had been saving my PTI colored cardstock for their challenges which seem to be gone. Anyway, this is beautifully springy and must have made you smile inside with winter outside!
I love your results with the smooshed technique, and yes, they sure do look like lilacs! I love the stitched background and the sweet scalloped frame. It's wonderful having you play along at Color Hues!
Perfect dies used for the colors - love that background coverplate as well as the scalloped edge frame! They do look like lilacs! Julia xx
Fabulous make for the CH Challenge. I have been wanting to play and just haven't gotten to it. Love the way you used the colors. Beautiful smooshing, and I love the pierced background.
