Faith-Hope-Love ~ Just Us Girls #714

Hello and welcome! It's time for another challenge at Just Us Girls. Artistic Ina has picked a fun Mood Board for us!

Take a look at the closeup.

And now my card!

I was inspired by the petals in the top right corner and the colors. I put my Poppystamps Nordic Crown Flower front and center with a simple embossed oval behind it. The petals and a few of the leaves were made with paper I smooshed into various inks. My sentiment is an oldie, but a goodie, by Hero arts that's heat embossed on vellum.

This was sent to friends at church who lost their best friends in an auto accident. They were wintering in Florida. So very sad.

We do hope you'll join us this week.

Ina's photo is filled with options!

This is lovely Lisa, with the mottled colors you've used and the gold accents. Your colors match the inspiration colors perfectly. I'm so sorry to hear of such a tragic loss. That is terribly sad.
I've been scrolling back on your blog to see all the beautiful things I've missed while I was away. Lot's of pretty makes from you.

Such dreamy colors, and you've captured them beautifully! Your flower is perfect perched on that pretty oval, I also love that you did gold and smooshed leaves. That sentiment? Yes ma'am!

This is an absolutely beautiful card. When there is a loss like this for anyone to bear, It is impossible to find a words or anything else to help ease the sadness. This kind of love and thoughtful gesture is the best thing you can do, and you have done it wonderfully with this beauty. Your design is gorgeous. I wish I could have every one of the Nordic dies... your work with them is always wonderful. Beautiful job with the colors on this very special, from the heart project.

Lisa... my sympathies for your friends. The card is gorgeous. Love the soft pastels you used. Not sure if you watercolored or used patterned paper. Great use of that new Nordic die!
